The Inner Game NYC #1 — Intro to The Way of the Superior Man
Sat, Aug 1, 9:00 PMOur first session. We're reading David Deida's *The Way of the Superior Man*, starting with the introduction and Part one. Come having read it, or come having skimmed it, or come having read nothing. Just come with a curious attitude. We'll spend 45 minutes on the book and 45 minutes on open sharing: what's actually going on in your life, what you're working on, what resonates. This is not a lecture. It's a conversation between men who are paying attention.

Tuesday Night Weekly Game Night: 2-Player games edition
Tue, Jul 21, 10:00 PM**\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*PLEASE NOTE\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** *** ***\*\* In order to support Cobblestones for letting us use their space, there is a $15 minimum food/drink order per person.\*\**** **Special for this night: we're suggesting bringing your 2-player games. Completely optional.** We're a friendly group of gamers that play everything from Carcassonne & Ticket to Ride to Wingspan & heavier Eurogames! If you don't recognize the games, don't worry, everyone is happy to teach new players the rules. And feel free to bring your own board games if you wish. Between all of us, there's usually a large selection of games to choose from. In order to support our awesome, not-too-loud, well-lit venue, each person must purchase something to eat or a few drinks. ***\*\*\*Again, there is a $15 minimum per person.****\*\*\** *** We always welcome new people & we're all here to have fun, but we do have a few ground rules that we ask everyone to be aware of: * Treat everyone in the group with respect & do not discriminate. Some of us "trash talk" when we play, but it's all in good fun & in the spirit of gaming. * This is a restaurant/bar so accidents are bound to happen. However, if you're responsible for ruining someone else's game by spilling a beverage or food on it, the right thing to do is to offer to purchase a new copy for them. Some of the games we bring are out of print so please treat every board game with respect. * If a game is accidentally ruined by a staff member, everyone at the table should pitch in to buy a new one for the owner. More often than not, this comes to about $10/person or less, so in our opinion it isn't too much to ask for. *** Thanks everyone & see you on Tuesday night!

Play board games and meet cool people!

You'll see silly, social party games, European economic simulators, social deduction experiences, and everything in-between. We love teaching the games and sharing all the great stuff that's going on in modern game design, so even if you're not familiar (yet!) with what games can do lately, you'll come away having learned something new. Your suggested donation of $12 (Venmo or cash) includes hours of gaming and all the beverages you care to drink, and it directly benefits the [Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture](https://bsec.org/). 269 4th Ave (between Garfield Pl and 1st St) Brooklyn, NY Closest subway stations: * Union St. (D, N, R, W) (2-minute walk) * 4 Av-9 St (F, G) (11-minute walk) * Grand Army Plaza (2, 3, 4) (12-minute walk)
