American Sign Language Beginners Meetup Group

We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!

Columbus Sketching the Streets Weekly Social

We are meeting up this week for our regular sketching session to capture a bit of Columbus on paper. Whether you are a seasoned artist or someone who just likes to doodle in a notebook, this is a low-pressure space to get outside, observe our surroundings, and spend some time drawing alongside others. We do not have a formal instructor, so feel free to bring whatever supplies you are comfortable with and work at your own pace. The goal is simply to get out of the house and connect with people in the neighborhood who share an interest in sketching. We will spend about an hour or so working on our drawings, followed by a chance to share what we have worked on if you feel like it, or just chat and grab a drink or a snack afterward. It is a casual group, and everyone is welcome to join regardless of their skill level. Autumn Hike at Inniswood Metro Garden

Join us for one of our last hikes of the season at Inniswood Metro Garden, walking amid the fall florals and fauna. We will walk through the park on boardwalks, trails and paved paths so as to get a full 2 miles in. Come and enjoy the park with us this Wednesday (10/21) at 6 pm.

Open Barn Day in October at Sunrise Sanctuary!

Open Barn Days are group tours where we open the Sanctuary to the public, allowing you to visit and get to know the animals on a personal level. Admission prices are Adult (18+) Admission $10, Youth (4-17) Admission $5, and Children 3 and under are free. All funds raised go directly toward caring for the approximately 140 precious souls that call Sunrise home. We are a volunteer run vegan Sanctuary and the funds raised are crucial to providing vet care, feed, and housing. We do limit attendance at these events to help ensure a safe and enjoyable interaction with the animal family. Because of this, we do require that tickets be purchased in advance.
