Come Sing Show Tunes!

This event consists of an informal concert in which the performers are all of us! We'll take turns singing Broadway show tunes. All musical levels are welcome, whether you're an aspiring musical theater star or just someone who belts out show tunes in the shower. If you feel shy about singing a solo, it's okay to come and listen. We'll also do some group singing. Please think ahead and pick one or two solos you'd enjoy singing (this is not a firm commitment, you can change your mind if you get the jitters). Depending on how many people choose to sing, you'll either get to sing one or both of your songs. We don't always have an accompanist, so after you pick your songs, please search for suitable accompaniments on YouTube (you can search for "Songname karaoke" or "Songname accompaniment"). Let's Improvise: Improv Dojo - Oakland Improv Class

The Improv Dojo is a place to do improv. It is a chance to play, explore and develop. We explore scene work, theater games and related acting exercises. It is part drop-in class and part practice session. The Improv Dojo is for improvisors ready to explore . Beginning and experienced improvisors welcome. Dojo attendees include Pan troupe members, Dojo regulars and people brand new to improv. Whether you're a beginner looking to try improv for the first time or a more seasoned player looking for a chance to play - the Improv Dojo is for you. If you're new to improv be sure to checkout our improv guides on the Pan Theater web site (the Rules of Improv I and II). Tickets are $20 per person cash at the door. I Love Boosters (2026)

**Join us for I Love Boosters, a "raucous capitalist critique" from Oakland-based writer-director Boots Riley on Saturday, May 23 at AMC Kabuki. Show starts at 7:15pm.** Please buy your ticket in advance. We will meet outside (or inside depending on the weather) at 7:00pm for quick intros and again after the show to gather before walking to a nearby bar/restaurant for discussion. Location for the after movie discussion is TBD but we will be near the Japan Center so we have plenty of options for food & drink.
