Coffee & Social Walk (Pasadena)

Join me for a relaxed Sunday as we get together for a late afternoon coffee and stroll. We’ll **start by meeting at Superba** for coffee and light mingling. From there, we’ll head out for a group coffee walk through Pasadena, taking in scenic routes and charming neighborhoods along with visiting the Caltech campus together as a Meetup community. There’s no better way to stay connected with friends and new acquaintances than through a fun, low-pressure activity like this. Whether you’re new to the area, looking to meet friendly faces, or just want a low-pressure, outdoor activity, this meetup is for you. **Time:** 5 – 7:30 PM **What to Bring:** Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate attire, positive vibes, and a friendly spirit! **Superba Snacks + Coffee** 712 South Arroyo Pkwy, Pasadena, CA 91105 ***Note:*** *Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! Community Hiking event

This is an outdoor group hiking event for people that want to be physically active in nature, relax, connect, and communicate. Please dress relaxed, light beverages e.g water and energy drinks will be provided. Donations are acceptable via Venmo, Zelle. We will be meeting up at the Fern Dell sign entrance. The starting point will be from the Fern Dell trail until the end of the Griffith Park trail.

The purpose of this event is to create a non-judmental space for us to learn, communicate, and have fun as a group. Together we can figure out what matters in life and how we can be our best selves. The event will be on the grass so please dress comfortable, bring a yoga mat/blanket, journal and pen. The event is for Ages 18+, food & drinks will be provided. The Hollywood Sculpture Garden is really a neat place . . . AND WE GET TO VISIT AND HAVE A DAYTIME COFFEE SOCIAL THERE!!! It's located on private property and not normally open to the public. So it is indeed a special thing for us to go. Join me again for another night of dining and mingling. This time, it's back to Pampas Grill in Culver City. It's Brazilian food, cafeteria style: you grab a plate, and choose what you want from the extensive, winding food buffet featuring sweet plantains, black beans, rice, pasta, grilled potato wedges, a plethora of salad and fresh fruit options, desserts, and ending at the grilled meat counter where you can choose from three different kinds of sirloin, two different grilled chickens, lamb, and - if that's not decadent enough - juicy sausages. I know, right? There are a few bars in the area that we could check out after dinner. Not necessarily bar hopping - we can just find one that's not too crowded or noisy where we can hang out and enjoy each others' company a little longer.

Atheists Volunteer! West LA Highway 405 Cleanup 🦺🧹

Atheists United supports the community by sponsoring bi-weekly highway cleanups in partnership with CalTrans Adopt-A-Highway Program. We serve two locations, the 2 freeway in Glendale and the 405 highway in West Los Angeles. Please help keep Los Angeles clean. NEW LOCATION: We'll meet at Stoner Park on Westgate Ave (between Missouri Ave and Nebraska) see map. Look for a red Toyota 4Runner SUV (call Steve, the organizer, if you can't find the group 310-686-8862). After everyone parks we'll drive/carpool to the stretch of freeway on the 405 freeway between National and Santa Monica Blvd. What to wear: Sturdy shoes, long pants, a hat, and sunscreen. Dress in layers because it can start out cold and warm up during the morning. We'll provide bags, gloves and grabbers so you won't have to bend over to pick up trash. Minimum age to participate is 16 years old. Lunch/Dinner or Refreshments: We'll pick a place for refreshments after the cleanup. How long: The highway clean up will take about 2 hours plus optional get together for refreshments afterwards. RSVP: Please remember to change your RSVP to "no" if you can't make it. This is common courtesy. Also especially important if you are the only other volunteer signed up, because we can't do the cleanup with only one person. Walk to Frank Lloyd walk homes

We will meet in the parking lot or sidewalk next to parking lot at Barnsdall Park then go up the hill to see the Frank Lloyd Wright (Hollyhock house) homes. **It is a UNESCO world heritage site.** [https://www.barnsdall.org/](https://www.barnsdall.org/). After we return can get tickets and go inside. We will see great view of LA up there. Then we will walk go to see the house designed by his son, the Sowden house AKA as Jaws house. The Aviator was filmed there and many other movies.
