Join along for a scenic 5K run along the breathtaking Golden Gate Promenade! This run is for casual runners or anyone looking for a fun way to stay active. You'll get to enjoy beautiful ocean views as we run along the bay, with the beautiful Presidio on one side and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge on the other. We'll meet in front of the Crissy Field Center and wait for up to 15 minutes for any late arrivals. After the run (we'll finish where we started), we'll grab some coffee/pastries at the Starbucks inside the Presidio. Join us for a relaxed, women-only day of exploring the Presidio, meeting new friends, and enjoying one of San Francisco’s most scenic green spaces. This event is intended for women in their early 20s who are looking to build friendships and connect locally. We’ll travel together by public transit from the Millbrae BART Station, making this a low-cost, environmentally friendly outing while avoiding parking and traffic. Once in the Presidio, we’ll use the free Presidio GO South Hills Shuttle to move easily between key areas of the park. The Presidio offers plenty to explore, including sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the coastal trails at Crissy Field, the Presidio Tunnel Tops with its panoramic overlooks and open gathering spaces, and the historic forested trails throughout the park. We can also stop by the Presidio Visitor Center and enjoy coffee or lunch at nearby cafés. The plan is to spend the day walking, talking, and exploring at a relaxed pace while getting to know each other and enjoying the outdoors. **Transit Schedule \* Please have your Clipper Card ready** • Depart Millbrae BART: 9:39 AM (Red-N to Balboa Park, then transfer to bus 29) • Arrive Presidio: approximately 11:02 AM • Return transit departs Presidio: 2:09 PM (bus 29 to Balboa Park, then Red-S to Millbrae) • Arrive back at Millbrae BART: approximately 3:46 PM We’ll aim to head back around 3:50 PM, though you’re welcome to stay longer and explore on your own if you prefer. **What to Bring** • Comfortable walking shoes • Sunscreen + Hat • Water bottle • Snacks (optional) • Money for coffee and lunch **Weather Forecast** Cloudy to partly sunny, with temperatures around 58 to 60°F and no rain expected. We love learning about your more uncommon crafts! *About the Location* Mezzo is a build your own sandwich and salad (and breakfast burritos in the mornings, among other breakfast options) place in Southside that's popular with students (though we will be between spring and summer session) and has a spacious, bright back patio. *How to Get There* Bus: next to stops for the 6 line. 2 blocks from stops for the 22, 27, 36, 51B, 604, 605 and 851 lines. BART: 20 min walk (0.8 miles) from downtown Berkeley station (slight but noticeable uphill) Parking: Street parking available, usually metered but should be free on Sundays. Keep in mind this location is close to UC Berkeley campus so parking may be difficult
