Pastries, Cliffs & Ocean Views: SF Urban Hike

Join us for a relaxed San Francisco urban hike combining neighborhood streets, coastal trails, historic sites, and big Pacific Ocean views. We'll kick things off at Butter Love Bakeshop in the Outer Richmond, where we'll grab some baked goods and coffee before setting off (we'll wait until 9:45am for any late arrivals). From there, we'll walk toward Sutro Heights and make our way through the Land's End area, after which we'll finish by walking toward Sunset Dunes for the final stretch along San Francisco's oceanfront. This is a casual-paced hike. We'll take our time, enjoy the scenery, stop for photos, and give everyone a chance to chat and take in the views. (Dogs are totally welcome!) Morning Hang at the Presidio Tunnel Tops ☕🌳

Come join us for a relaxed morning coffee and hangout at the Presidio Tunnel Tops! Just a laid-back morning to enjoy some coffee, good conversation, and meet some new people while taking in the park and views. We'll meet at the Presidio Starbucks for anyone who wants to get anything from there (we'll wait until 9:15am for any late arrivals), and afterwards we'll walk to the Tunnel Tops and aim to grab a bench or seats overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. Sketch Hedge Coffee (Cafe Art Circle)

Cafe Sketching at Hedge Coffee in the SF Mission District. 📍 1:00pm meet inside. Look for us with sketchbooks. 🎨 Bring your own art supplies. Roam freely. Sketch what you see. ☕ Pull up a chair anytime to draw with us and talk art. 📓 2:45pm. We wrap things up with a show & tell throwdown. Hedge Coffee has high ceilings and a warehouse-like feel, and has DJs typically spinning every weekend during their "Coffee & Beats" / "Lose Yourself" residencies. Good mix of creative and hip. This is organized by the **[Cafe Art Circle](https://www.zenbay.org/cafe_art_circle)** meetup under SF Sketchers. We explore coffee and tea shops around the Bay Area, using sketching as a way to experience the atmosphere of each place and its neighborhood. All skill levels welcome. Come join us for our bi-weekly Coffee & Crafting to enjoy some company and cafe fare while making progress on your current WIP! As always, crafters of all kind are welcome to join, even if your preferred medium only loosely fits the definition of "fiber" craft. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- *About the Location* Cafe Etoile is a lively brunch stop specializing in French cafe options, but they also offer a few select Korean-inspired dishes. It's located super close to Ohlone Park if you want to observe dogs playing outside together on your way over! \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- *How to Get There* BART: 10 minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART station Bus: 1 block from the 12, 79, 51B, 52, 604, 800, FS routes 2 blocks from the 88 route 3 blocks from the 7, 18 and F routes Parking: Street parking available, typically metered although Sundays may be free. If possible, I would recommend parking on the side streets off of MLK to avoid meters.

Cafe Social

Please read carefully as there is new info here. This event meets 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. **This week we are meeting at Espresso Roma Cafe in Berkeley. We will meet at the first available long table outside or at the long tables under the canopy depending upon availability. We hope new people will become regulars to this social group, Do not attend if you are on the waitlist as this is causing the crowd to get too large. Sign up early as seating is limited at the cafe. If you show up and are not on the going list you will be asked to leave or sit somewhere else. Three no shows will get you removed from the group so please change your RSVP if you cannot make it and give someone on the waitlist a chance to come. Please don’t do this at the last minute unless it’s an emergency. We will initially allow 10 members on the going list and then we will be adding people from the waitlist balancing out the event by gender. We will be posting the coffee meetups month by month to give more of the newcomers a chance to sign up and get a spot. Moving forward we will talk to the owners about providing enough chairs for the long tables and not just the smaller ones. We’re reserving a table for 5 who want to meet new people, share easy conversation and good food. **What to expect:** Brunch at 12:30, small group (five seats), good food and good people. **Who this is for:** You like good atmosphere, even better company, and a leisurely Sunday **To reserve your spot:** All RSVPs start on the waitlist. Once you receive my direct message, your spot is confirmed after your deposit is received. There’s a $20 deposit via Venmo to secure your seat—fully refunded when you show up, or if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Spots without a deposit are released after 24 hours so we can open them to others. Small groups only work when everyone shows up. The deposit is just our way of making sure we’re all in.
