Normally we announce our talks here, but this time we are taking a short summer break and therefore invite you to a barbecue at the Spree. The BBQ is for all Berlin Python groups: [PyLadies](https://berlin.pyladies.com), [Django Girls](https://djangogirls.org/de/berlin/), [PyData](https://berlin.pydata.org), [PyBerlin](https://pyberlin.github.io/events/pyberlin.html), [Django User Group Berlin (djub)](https://www.meetup.com/django-user-group-berlin/), [OpenTechSchool](https://www.opentechschool.org/cities/berlin), etc. We are looking forward to meet new Pythonistas, chat and discuss with them. The [c-base](https://c-base.org/) is a great place to enjoy the sunset and get together. So come along on 13 August from 7pm, bring vegan, vegetarian or meat and sausage for the barbecue and salads. We will prepare bread and sauces, heat up the grills and the bar will be open.

**Welcome to homecooked stories by Trang** In Vietnam, Bánh Xèo isn’t something I would order as a carefully plated dish in a restaurant. It’s what happens when friends gather around a street vendor late at night. Someone orders a stack of crispy pancakes for the table. Everyone wraps pieces in lettuce and herbs, dips them into fish sauce, and keeps ordering more until the whole group is full. This summer, I want to recreate a little bit of that feeling in Berlin. Join me on my terrace in Pankow for an all-you-can-eat Bánh Xèo feast. I’ll be making fresh Bánh Xèo throughout the afternoon, served with herbs, lettuce, and dipping sauce. And because it’s summer, we’ll finish with a homemade Vietnamese banana coconut ice cream. Whether you come alone or bring a friend, expect a relaxed Sunday afternoon of good food and conversation with new people. Bei Kaffee/Tee und Kuchen sitzen wir in entspannter Runde zusammen und arbeiten an Strick-/Häkel- oder anderen Handarbeitsprojekten oder ähnlichem und kommen so auch gerne ins Gespräch. Alle sind herzlich willkommen (auch ohne Strickerfahrung!!). We'll gather on picnic blankets, enjoy a delicious sourdough tasting, and spend a relaxing afternoon learning the basics of sourdough. This beginner-friendly event is perfect if you've always wanted to try baking with sourdough but didn't know where to start. You'll learn what a sourdough starter is, how to care for it, and how to bake your own delicious bread at home. Everyone will receive a jar containing a freshly fed, active sourdough starter, along with my step-by-step care guide and a beginner-friendly bread recipe. Hi everyone, Berlin Lingua Hub’s **Afterwork Cultural Picnic** is back, finally!!! Twice a month, we’ll meet at **Monbijou Park** for a relaxed evening of **good conversations, new connections, and cultural exchange**. **What’s the idea?** We keep it simple: **bring your favorite drinks or snacks**, enjoy a laid-back picnic, and connect with people from all over the world. Whether you’re new in Berlin or have been here for years, this is a great way to meet interesting people in a relaxed atmosphere. **What about languages?** This is not a structured Sprachcafé, but since Berlin Lingua Hub is all about languages and cultural exchange, you’ll naturally find people speaking different languages.
