Hello friends and riding buddies. This is just a friendly survey to gauge if there is interest in more "**Spooky San Francisco Ghetto Night Ride!"** Date and time shown is placeholder only. *After reading through this please state your interest by voting "will attend". since we can't have a very large group in City rides, depending on the number of people who RSVP I will schedule a few of these rides so everyone will get a chance to go.* Keep reading :) ***+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++*** **San Francisco Ghetto Night Ride** is one of our signature rides, and the most popular among GRF regular suspects. We will be riding the hills, peaks and valleys of everyone's favorite city. We’ll zip through the ghettos, pass the mansions and view the scenery very few people get to see in a year let alone in a single evening. If you would like a cup of coffee, a light supper, or a snack, you can come earlier and join the group (place TBD, but Moto friendly). Or come few minutes before KSU time. You will be able to leave any time you get tired. We usually finish the ride before midnight. • When: **TBD**. It is usually on a Saturday. 4 PM is a good time come for dinner/snacks. Those who only want the ride arrive around 5:00 PM (for coffee, gossip and group hugs); KSU 5:15 PM. We usually finish by midnight. • Where: TBA (a moto friendly spot) • Pace: Not fast. Thai Temple brunch - 12 miles, 350' elevation gain (Ride #123)

Join us for a quick spin around North Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley, where we’ll ride some of the latest and greatest bike infrastructure, followed by an outdoor Thai brunch at the famous hidden gem, Wat Mongkolratanaram. TIME: meet up between 9:45am and 10am, roll out at 10:15 sharp DISTANCE: ~12 miles ELEVATION GAIN: ~350’ We’ll meet in the church plaza across the street from Arthur Mac’s on 40th and MLK. Nearest BART is MacArthur. We’ll ride on bike paths, protected bike lanes, and low traffic streets. The ride is mostly flat with one steady uphill as we go from the flats to the hills. We'll ride together at a good clip and make a few brief stops to keep the group together. Near the end of the ride we’ll enjoy brunch outside at the Thai Temple in Berkeley. Think curries, noodle soup, papaya salad, pad thai, sticky rice, and more. Lots of vegetarian options. All proceeds benefit the Temple. Dress appropriately for the forecast and bring water, snacks, and CASH for tokens to purchase food. Consider bringing a blanket to sit on. Please only RSVP “Yes” if you plan to come. Alameda Water Shuttle and Wave Oculus

**Start Location: San Leandro Marina, North Parking Lot (close to the intersection of Fairway Drive and Monarch Bay Drive, 3-way stop)** **MEET 8:30am** **ROLL 8:45am** **FLASHFLASHFLASH\*\*\*Posted Thursday, 8/27 @ 9am** **The Oakland-Alameda water shuttle (*Woodstock*) is now back in service. Yay!** Let's explore the Alameda Islands again, stay near the shorelines, and take the Alameda Water Shuttle to Jack London Square! We'll take a short rest at Bicycle Coffee, and then head back south, stopping for a quick look at the Wave Oculus. Other POI along the way: Coast Guard Island and several marinas. **\*\*Bring your helmet, tube, and water. We anticipate 'clothing adjustment stops' along the way. Restrooms are available at the start.** **\*\*The Ride Sweep will ensure that the group remains together. This is a "NO DROP" ride and is e-bike friendly. Cycling etiquette is essential. No SAG cars provided.**

SF the Right Way

3 bridges and a ferry in a right-hand clockwise loop - close to 80 km. Meet us at Brickyard Cove for a 9 am rollout to the Bay Bridge and beyond. We’ll ride the 10:20 ferry from Treasure Island to SF. (If the ferry is crowded perhaps a couple riders could take a bus from TI to SF and meet us) Then we’ll head to the GG Bridge and cross to Sausalito where we’ll have lunch (maybe at Taste of Rome). Afterwards we’ll continue north and cross the RSR Bridge and finally head back to Brickyard Cove. Some folks might want to join us at the SF ferry bldg at 10:30; some might want to start in Berkeley but only go as far as Treasure Island or SF. The attendance limit is for people who will take ferry or bus from TI to SF. any number can come to the SF ferry bldg by other means and join us for the rest of the ride Whatever, let’s enjoy the last Friday before Labor Day forces us to face the end of summer.

We’ll cruise the Parenzana trail on our E-Bikes, stopping in Grožnjan, Oprtalj, and Motovun for coffee, olive oil tastings, and a spectacular lunch. By evening, we’ll cycle to the top of Motovun for a stunning gargoyle view of the Adriatic cities. You won’t leave Istria without loading your bike down with bottles of wine and a tummy full of truffles. **HIKE PLITVICE LAKES AND PAKLENICA NATIONAL PARKS** You’re gonna see the kind of natural beauty that shows up in the screensavers of Apple products. The Instagram world is stark raving mad over Plitvice Lakes because of its unique system of lakes and waterfalls. Anthony Chabot 5 mile hike

Join other millenials for a 5 mile hike with ~900 ft of elevation gain! Well behaved dogs are welcome on a leash. Location of the hike will be visible to attendees upon RSVP, but the hike is at Anthony Chabot regional park. Plan to arrive early so we can start the hike promptly at 1pm. Please bring:
• Positive attitude
• Water bottle
• Charged phone
• Snacks!!
• Hiking / athletic clothes and shoes
• Sunscreen 















Please only attend this event if you feel like you are in shape to walk at least 5 miles with a 900ft elevation gain. If you have any health conditions that prevent you from exercising, this might not be the best event for you.
