2v2 Intermediate+ Beach Volley 💪

**4PM.** Join us for intermediate and advanced play on outdoor 2v2 courts. If you are not yet at the intermediate level ([F1+](https://www.esv-muenchen-volleyball.de/niveaueinstufung)) or want to play 3v3/4v4, sign up via [the simultaneous event](https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/) instead. We play with beach rules: do not use open hands for the first or last touches, do not touch the net, etc. We overbook slightly to ensure we have enough players and to allow individuals to take breaks. After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area. It's recommended that you come 10 minutes early so you have time to change and find the fields. If it is your first time, 15 minutes might be even better. You can join whatever court you like and move between courts during the event. We self-organize, so once you finish a game, you can start a rematch, mix with another court, or take a break as you see fit. Upon arrival, join the warmup happening on one of the courts. Park Volley ☀️ 🏐 🌴 @ Hasenheide

**Join us for outdoor grass volleyball in Hasenheide park!** This event is not suitable for complete beginners. We play with two nets. The "chill court" is for mixed-level play with 3v3 up to 5v5. The "competitive court" is for higher-level 2v2 play with beach rules. Be sure to wear suitable sports clothing, and consider bringing a drink. **Location**: We play in the narrow clearing, located between the two paths in the center of Hasenheide park, on the southern side. We'll post updates in the WhatsApp group. **Facilities:** The park has no facilities such as changing rooms or showers. A nearby public toilet is also available, but it may be closed, dirty, or out of toilet paper. **RSVP**: Add yourself to the waitlist, even if others are already on it. The waitlist is not chronological, so even if there are 30 people on there, you still have a chance! If you get a spot, you will be moved to the attending list and notified by Meetup. This is a free event with limited space. **If you can't make it, promptly update your RSVP to NO** so others can take your place. If you do not show up or cancel last minute, you will be marked as a no-show, reducing your chances of getting off the waitlist in the future. **Payment:** This event is free, but you are invited to make a 2 EUR donation towards equipment. **Attending**: Do not join if you have an infectious disease. Psychedelic Forest Hike II

Hey psychedelic fans! As the leaves begin to change color, we are once again heading out into the beautiful Grunewald. Join us for our second psychedelic hike through the forest, where you can contemplate the cyclicality of life and the impermanence of all existence — or simply reconnect with nature and your friends from the community. Bring whatever you need for the afternoon: drinks, some snacks to share, something to sit on during the picnic break, and, of course, suitable clothing. Just like last time, we’ll meet at S Grunewald (exit towards Grunewald) at 12:00, with the hike starting around 12:15. We’re aiming to finish at S Nikolassee between 16:00 and 17:00. If you cannot find us, I’ll have a big mushroom attached to my backpack. If you’re running late, just send a message in the event chat. Circle Back - First Event: Visit to NochMall

**DESCRIPTION** For our first gathering, we'll meet at NochMall, Berlin's first second-hand department store, run by the city's waste management company (BSR). Here, furniture, clothes, books, and household items that would otherwise be thrown away are collected, sorted, and given a second life. We'll explore the store together and see the circular economy in action. **FOR WHOM?** \- Anyone curious about sustainability and the circular economy \- People who want to move from ideas to practical action \- Newcomers and experienced voices alike\, no expertise needed \- Anyone looking to meet like\-minded people in Berlin **WHY?** Sustainability becomes real when we see it and take part in it. NochMall is a living example of how reuse, repair, and collaboration between the city, citizens, and local businesses can keep resources in use and out of the waste stream. Who Lives in the Woods? Watercolour Workshop

Over four Tuesday evenings, we’ll meet four different woodland animals and explore a new way of painting each one with watercolour. Every week, we’ll look closely at one animal and use it as an opportunity to learn and practise different watercolour techniques. Some paintings will be more realistic, others more loose or abstract — the idea is to discover how many different ways watercolour can describe an animal. We’ll also look at a selection of picture books and discover how different artists have interpreted and painted animals in their own unique ways. We always work **step by step**, starting with the basics: observing how water and colour interact, experimenting with colour effects, and learning how to control — and sometimes let go of — the water. Then we’ll build our animals from simple shapes, exploring different effects and practising textures such as fur, feathers, and other details that make each animal unique.
