Fighting the good fight - Marvel Champions!

Heroes! We will be meeting up to play Marvel Champions .We will meet inside The Ludoquist from 6.30pm, and split into groups of 4 or less before choosing villains to defeat inside. The session will be charged by The Ludoquist at £5 (payable on the night). We will have pre-built decks available to play on the night for beginners, but we otherwise advise bringing along a couple of decks to arrange groups on the night (and maybe one or two substitute allies). Artists of all ability are welcome at the All Good Bookshop Art Club. Each session has a theme to inspire creativity but there is no set image to create, allowing attendees to explore their own skills and interests. A range of art materials are supplied, but bringing your own supplies is also welcomed. Suggested donation £5

FOR ONE MONDAY ONLY! We're now back to where Southbank Vinyl began in 2017 - The Roebuck Pub in Borough (50 Great Dover St, London SE1 4YG). We're now meeting the first Wednesday of each month at the Roebuck, where great food and drink options are available and we have our own room upstairs to play our records on the deck. Come along with a bunch of vinyl you'd like to play and share with us! October’s theme is ‘Animals’. And it's a Monday for once! Back to Wednesdays after. We’re celebrating the entire animal kingdom, from the deepest depths of the ocean to the dizzying heights of the sky. Fins, flippers, wings, claws, paws and everything in between are all welcome. So whether you were born to be wild, fancy striking a Buffalo Stance or have an eye of the tiger, join us for a stampede of a musical menagerie as we welcome you to the jungle. October's first Science Fiction meetup.

Would you enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow Science Fiction and Fantasy fans? If so, we’d love to meet you. Our next gathering takes place on **Saturday 17th October from 6pm** at **The Mad Hatter**, just by Blackfriars Bridge. Drop in, say hello, and join us for a drink. We’re a long‑running group that’s been meeting since **1998**—long before meetup sites existed. Over the years we’ve hosted celebrity meet‑and‑greets, attended conventions together, run role‑playing games, organised cinema trips, LARPs, and plenty more. These pub meetups are all about socialising and connecting with other Sci‑Fi and Fantasy enthusiasts. To help break the ice, we’ll be running a fun **team quiz at 8.30pm**. There’s no fee to attend—just pay for whatever food or drink you order at the venue.

This weekend we'll be at JAPAN MATSURI, the UK’s much-loved and biggest annual festival of Japanese culture and food,will return to Trafalgar Square on Sunday 4 October, from 10am to 8pm. **FREE OF CHARGE** Showcasing Japanese culture in the UK, Japan Matsuri has attracted a loyal audience of Londoners, the Japanese community and other visitors, families and friends each year since 2009 (at Spitalfields in 2009 & 2010, at County Hall in 2011, and at Trafalgar Square since 2012) and has established itself as a symbol of the long-standing bonds (Kizuna 絆) between Japan and the UK.

If you're looking for a laid back Saturday playing some board games and talking nerd stuff in a pub with some awesome people, this is the meetup for you!
