CoachingLab - Lass uns coachen!

CoachingLab - Lass uns coachen!

Thu, Nov 5, 6:00 PM
From CoachingLab

Was hätten andere Coaches gemacht? Elisa & Michael

Hike and Reflect - Wandern und Austausch

Hike and Reflect - Wandern und Austausch

Sat, Oct 24, 8:15 AM
From Hike and Reflect

🥾 Hike & Reflect Hiking together, spending time outdoors, having good conversations and simply seeing what develops along the way. We usually meet on Saturday mornings and explore beautiful hiking routes around Berlin that are easy to reach by regional train or public transport. Most hikes take around 4–5 hours and cover approximately 15–20 km. 🌿 What happens along the way From time to time, I will bring in reflection questions, conversation prompts or simple exercises. Sometimes we might practise really listening to each other, explore a personal question, look at something from a different perspective or simply experience nature more consciously. We might also try a short partner exercise or walk a small section with our eyes closed. Everything is optional. You are just as welcome to come along, enjoy the landscape, meet new people and be part of the group without joining every exercise or conversation. 💬 The coaching element I am a certified systemic coach with around 12 years of corporate experience. I bring some of my coaching background into the questions, exercises and overall structure of the hikes. At the same time, this is not about me coaching everyone. The idea is to create a space where people can learn from each other, share experiences, listen properly and discover new perspectives through conversation. I provide a few impulses and a loose framework. The group creates the rest. 🤝 What Hike & Reflect is about Movement, nature, meeting people and having conversations that we often do not make enough time for in everyday life. Sometimes the conversations may become thoughtful, sometimes they will be light and funny, and sometimes we may simply walk next to each other for a while. We will see what happens. 👟 Who is it for? Anyone who enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people and likes the idea of combining hiking with a little more reflection and conversation. The hikes are designed for different fitness levels, although 15–20 km does require a basic level of fitness and being comfortable walking for several hours.

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion

Sun, Nov 1, 2:00 PM
From Chitta Space- Awareness in Experience
4.8

Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment. No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening. If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk. ✨ **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):** * A short arrival and orientation * A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation) * One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress * Optional reflection in pairs or small groups * A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life 🚶**Who this is for:** * Professionals, creatives, and people in transition. * People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance. * Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical. * Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation. 🔔 **Practical notes:** * Duration: 60-90 minutes * Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing * No prior experience needed * Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused 🧭 **Facilitator:** My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction. 🤔 **Why Chitta Walks?** Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense. Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. 🌿 **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. Clearer attention. A felt sense of being more present in your body. Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions. A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city. **Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

Berlin Apache Airflow Meetup at idealo!

Berlin Apache Airflow Meetup at idealo!

Thu, Nov 5, 5:00 PM
From Berlin Apache Airflow® Meetup Group
4.9

Join fellow Airflow enthusiasts and leaders at **idealo's offices** for an evening of engaging presentations, delicious food and drinks, and awesome swag! The evening will consist of Airflow-specific presentations followed by networking. We can’t wait to see you there! **PRESENTATIONS** **Talk 1: Scaling Airflow at idealo: From MWAA to Astronomer and Beyond** **Speakers:** *David Hellwig, VP Data, idealo & Shaleena Ann Thomas, idealo* Over three years, idealo consolidated fragmented Airflow instances, Glue PySpark jobs, and other data lake workloads into a centralized platform, standardizing on PySpark. Migrating KPI-critical pipelines from MWAA to Astronomer in 2025 brought zero infrastructure incidents since May. This talk covers that journey: consolidating infrastructure, enabling self-service via automated deployments, reusable operators, blueprint DAGs, and observability, and how centralized ops and developer autonomy go hand in hand. **Talk 2: Apache Airflow for Production-ready AI** **Speaker:** *Sadok Ben Yahya, Senior Engineer at Astronomer* Running AI workloads in production takes more than a model call. This talk shows how Apache Airflow's Common AI provider brings production-ready AI orchestration into your DAGs: single-turn LLM calls, multi-turn agents with tools, and building blocks for RAG, SQL generation, and file analysis. You'll also see how to productionize it all with durable execution, usage limits, and human-in-the-loop review. **AGENDA** * **18:00–18:30:** Check-in / Networking / Snacks * **18:30–18:50:** Talk 1 — Scaling Airflow at idealo (David Hellwig & Shaleena Ann Thomas) * **18:50–19:20:** Talk 2 — Apache Airflow for Production-ready AI (Sadok Ben Yahya, Astronomer) * **19:20–19:30:** Coffee Break * **19:30–20:00:** Talk 3 — TBD * **20:00–20:30:** Closing / Networking
