**Rust Berlin Talks** is back for another evening of talks, shared ideas, and networking. Join us to learn, share, ask, and connect. If you work with Rust professionally, use it in side projects, contribute to open source, or are simply curious to learn more, you are very welcome. **Agenda** * Doors open: 18:30 * Start: 19:00 * Talks * Lightning talks * Networking **Speakers** Speakers and topics will be announced closer to the event. Interested in speaking at a future Rust Berlin Talks event? Send us your proposal. **Open mic & future talks** We’ll reserve a few short slots for anyone who wants to share something with the group. This can be a quick idea, a project, or an experience. Slides are optional. If you’re interested in giving a longer talk at a future meetup, this is also a good opportunity to connect with the organizers. **Venue & access** Please arrive on time. We will have someone at the entrance to let people in between 18:30 and 19:15. After that, access becomes more difficult as the doors are locked and require manual opening. **Registration** The venue has limited capacity, and events typically fill up with a waiting list. If you register and can no longer attend, even at short notice, please un-RSVP so someone else can take your spot. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Shark Tank: Fund My Nonsense Product

Shark Tank: Fund My Nonsense Product

Mon, Jul 13, 5:00 PM
From Corporate Unprofessionals
4.9

Dear Corporate Unprofessionals! Since the weather will be too hot, we are organizing a different event outside this time. The concept is a SharkTank outside for nonsense products. **How it works** * Everyone in the audience gets fake money at the start. * We hand voluntary presenters a random, nonsense product on the spot. * They get 3 minutes to pitch it like it's a real business. * The crowd gets 3 minutes to ask questions and try to break the pitch. * After each pitch, you invest in the ones you believe in (or find the most ridiculous). * Whoever raises the most fake money wins. **The products** Expect things that make no sense as businesses. That's the point. The fun is watching someone sell it with a straight face and full confidence. **Why come** * **If you pitch**: practice selling something on the spot, thinking fast, and holding your ground under questions. Good rep for actual pitching, without the actual stakes. * **If you invest:** practice thinking like a VC. Ask questions, spot the weak points, decide where your money actually goes. * **Either way:** it's a low-pressure way to get comfortable improvising in front of people. **Want to pitch?** Sign up when you arrive, or during the event. You'll get your product right before you go up, no time to prepare. **Just want to invest?** Show up, grab your money, and start funding. **Where** Monbijou Park in Mitte — outdoors, so bring sunscreen and water. It's summer. The exact location will be shared on the day of the event.
