Most of our attendees arrive solo, but we all leave with a group of friends. The most enjoyable way to meet new people. Mostly listening, you'll hear our similarities and our uniqueness. Both peaceful & invigorating. Nobody knows what story they are going to tell. It's time to truly connect again in the way that only sitting in real life, with real people, telling real-life stories can. Storytelling is the capability we have used to connect with one another and create the modern world. And yet, especially on social media, we have reduced storytelling to story-selling and mostly share opinions rather than real-life experiences. Our events are simple, timed, unprepared story prompts that help everyone who listens connect to our unique and yet relatable experiences. Often, the stories told are intensely funny, sometimes emotional, but always interesting. Please arrive on time so that we can start promptly at 6 pm. **Let the Games begin.** We will start with a couple of simple story rounds for the storytellers. The first is almost always 'The Story of your name' because everyone is **the** world's expert in living their life with their name. **Break!** We host these events to encourage connection and community, so this break is there to keep it light and cheerful. So stretch your legs, or stand in line 🚽! **Part Two.** Now that we all know this evening's storytellers, it is time to play a couple more story games to complete the structured part of the event. **The End!** There's a little time to chat with your new friends while we clear up and reset the room.

Funtastic Hike Exploring Ernest Deb Park. Moderate Paced!

Join us for a steady, moderate-paced hike at Ernest Debs Park. This will be a solid workout with some elevation, but we’ll keep a sustainable pace and regroup as needed. VENICE BEACH WALKS

**Join Tide Tribe for a fun morning beach walk along the shoreline 🌊** **We’ll be walking on the sand near the water, barefoot if you’d like, from** **Venice Fishing Pier to Charlie’s Beach and back**. **It's a great way to get your steps in while enjoying fresh air and beautiful views. We'll walk at a relaxed pace, chat, and soak up the coastal vibes. Dying for you: an Echo Park Stairwalk

Join me for some stair walking in Echo Park, including the twin towers of Baxter St. And Avalon St, and a jaunt through the peaceful Fellowship Parkway, a street accessible only by stairs. This is my first time leading a walk on Meetup (!) but I have walked these stairs many times, so I promise not to get (too) lost. **LEVEL**: Intermediate. I won't be walking super fast, but there are a lot of stairs on this hike. Probably best if you've done other stairwalks in the past. **LENGTH**: 4.6 miles, 10 big up stairways and 8 down, plus various hills. **SPEED**: A good pace, but not aggressive. We'll take short pauses at the top of some of the bigger stairs. **BRING**: Wear comfortable clothing and comfy shoes. Other than a short bit in Elysian Park, we'll be mainly on roads and stairs, so hiking shoes aren't necessary. Bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen, etc. **LOCATION/PARKING**: We'll meet at the corner of Echo Park Ave and Avalon Street. The Dodgers are out of town, so hopefully street parking won't be too bad. **RESTROOMS**: Sadly none unless we find a port-a-john. **LIABILITY**: The organizer is an uncompensated and untrained volunteer. By joining this event each member accepts full responsibility for knowing their limits, for all injuries, health issues, material losses, assessing all risks and for getting lost. Each member shall make their guests aware of these policies and releases the host from all liability.

We will first walkabout north from the D(Purple Line) Wilshire/La Cienega Station up to the Melrose then on for a stop at Pink's Hot Dogs. We will then walkabout down La Brea thru Pacific Pan Park on to The Grove and Farmer Market before finishing back at D(Purple Line) Wilshire/La Cienega Station. UFO Sighting Event. 8/23/26

Come experience a UFO sighting for yourself! Thank you to everyone who joined us at our last event. It started with a sky full of clouds, but once they cleared, the UFO activity began—and it was an incredible afternoon! A very special thank you to the amazing team from Third Phase of Moon for making the event even more memorable. Blake and Brent Cousins, Michael Schratt, Dr. J, Apolla, Robert Bingham, Fausto Perez, John, and Shelly were all fantastic, and it was great meeting so many of their enthusiastic fans. Bring your favorite dish or specialty. Please bring your own plate, cup, and utensils.** **5 miles round trip - not a beginner hike however beginners have been known to make it, nonetheless.
