Postcard Making - Art Workshop / Free participation

Postcard Making - Art Workshop / Free participation

Wed, Aug 19, 4:30 PM
From Art Workshops in Berlin

Postcard Making - Art Workshop In this workshop, participants will create postcards while reflecting on the meaning of home. Rather than a place, home is approached as a collection of memories, emotions, rituals, and connections that continue to shape us over time. Together, we will explore what creates a sense of belonging by making postcards that invite reflection and reconnection with a person, a place, or a memory that is meaningful to them. At the end of the workshop, participants will take their postcards home, with the option of sending them to anyone they wish. Art materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own materials, photographs, or other images that represent home to them. Language: English / Portuguese Free participation, with a suggested donation of €10. There are only 12 spots available, so please sign up by sending an email to elisa.carreno@hotmail.com or by getting a donation based ticket on https://www.eventbrite.com/e/postcard-making-art-workshop-tickets-1997920114846?aff=ebdssbdestsearch Workshop led by Elisa Carreno Elisa Carreno received a BFA from São Paulo State University. Symphony of Colors: Paul Signac — Brunch, Lecture & Museum Visit

Wed, Aug 26, 9:30 AM
From Berlin Ladies Art Club
4.8

Join us for a full cultural day out in Potsdam — a guided visit to the brand new Signac exhibition at Museum Barberini, paired with an art lecture and brunch. Museum Barberini has just opened Symphony of Colors: Paul Signac and Neo-Impressionism — an exhibition tracing Signac's journey from early waterside landscapes to his sun-drenched visions of the Côte d'Azur. Around thirty works by Signac are shown alongside paintings by Seurat, Pissarro, Cross, and others, with loans from the Musée d'Orsay, the Van Gogh Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and more. Before we visit the exhibition, we'll start with brunch and a short art lecture where I'll introduce Signac, his friendship with Seurat, and how they invented a completely new way of painting — building images from pure colour, dot by dot. 📋 Agenda 🥐 Brunch together 🎨 Art lecture: Signac, Seurat, and the birth of Neo-Impressionism 🖼️ Museum visit: Symphony of Colors exhibition + the permanent Impressionist collection (including 40 Monets) 📅 Date & Time: Wednesday 26.08 · 11:30 📍 Location: The exact location of the brunch place will be announced 24 hours before the event 💶 Participation Fee: 15 EUR(museum entry not included — tickets available at the museum) 📌 RSVP required — intimate group, spots are limited. To keep the group intimate and allow for conversation, spaces are limited. Please cancel if you can't attend so someone else may join. ⏰ Respect & Punctuality: Please arrive on time and be mindful of the group. ✅ Event Info & FAQ 🕐 How long will it last? The full experience runs approximately 3–3.5 hours, including brunch, lecture, and museum visit. 💶 Payment — How do I pay? Your spot is secured with an advance payment — I'll send you a payment link privately once you RSVP. Museum entry is paid separately at the museum. If your plans change, please update your status to "Not Going" so someone on the waiting list can take your spot 🙏 🚆 How do I get there? Museum Barberini is in Potsdam, about 30-40 minutes from Berlin by S-Bahn or regional train. 🥐 Can I join only for brunch or only for the museum? No — it's one full shared experience. ❗ What if I show up without signing up? Unfortunately a spot can't be guaranteed. Private Guided Tour & Coffee Talk — Jeppe Hein at KÖNIG GALERIE

Private Guided Tour & Coffee Talk — Jeppe Hein at KÖNIG GALERIE

Sun, Aug 23, 10:00 AM
From Berlin Ladies Art Club
4.8

Join us for a private guided visit to one of Berlin's most striking exhibition spaces this summer - Jeppe Hein's "You Are Never Really Allone" at KÖNIG GALERIE, housed inside the former Brutalist church of St. Agnes — followed by coffee nearby at Café westberlin. **23 August is the final day of this exhibition** — our last chance to experience it before it closes for good. The exhibition fills the entire nave with a colony of highly polished steel penguins, each one perched on a stone Hein personally collected on the Danish coast. Their mirrored surfaces catch the architecture, the light, and you — curious, playful, and a little disarming all at once. Hein spells the title ALLONE on purpose: all and one at once. You're standing there on your own, yet never really apart from everyone else in the room. The St. Agnes church itself has a story too — a Brutalist church from 1967, left empty for years, now reopened as König's gallery since 2015. I'll be personally guiding the group through the show. Afterwards, we'll head to Café westberlin, right on the church grounds, to talk about what we saw. **✨ Exceptionally for this event: open to +1s of any gender** — feel free to bring a partner, friend, or family member. 📍 **Meeting point:** KÖNIG GALERIE, St. Agnes — Alexandrinenstraße 118–121, 10969 Berlin 🗓 **Date:** Sunday, 23 August 🕐 **Time:** 12:00, we meet at 11:45 💶 **Participation Fee:** 15 EUR — includes the private guided tour, and one coffee or tea at Café westberlin afterwards. **To confirm your spot, payment is required in advance** — I'll send the payment link after you RSVP. (Limited availability, no payment on the day.) ⚠️ **Limited Spots:** Only confirmed and paid RSVPs will hold a spot — if you can't make it, please cancel so someone on the waiting list can join. ⏰ Respect & Punctuality: Please arrive on time and be mindful of the group. *** ✅ Event Info & FAQ 🕐 How long will it last? The full experience runs approximately 2–2.5 hours, including coffee. **💶 Payment — How do I pay?** To confirm your participation, please complete payment via the link I'll send you after signing up. Please note this event has limited capacity, so advance payment is required to guarantee your spot — payment on the day isn't possible. Signing up without payment does not guarantee a place. I'll send the payment link in a private message. If you can't join anymore, please update your status to "not going", so someone on the waiting list can take the spot. 🥐 Can I join only for the tour, or only for coffee? No - it's one full shared experience. ❗ What if I show up without signing up? Unfortunately, a spot can't be guaranteed. Only confirmed RSVPs are accepted. *** ✨ **Meet Julia**, the founder of Berlin Ladies Art Culture — a growing community of over 2,000 women passionate about art, culture, and meaningful connection.
