THE SHY PEOPLE'S DRAWING CLUB IS OPENING UP THE GALLERY FOR A SPECIAL NIGHT OF ART AND COMMUNITY. WE'RE SHOWCASING A DIVERSE COLLECTION OF WORKS FROM OUR MEMBERS, AND WE WANT YOU THERE TO CELEBRATE WITH US! WHETHER YOU'RE AN ART LOVER, A CURIOUS PASSERBY, OR JUST LOOKING FOR A GREAT NIGHT OUT, COME SOAK IN THE CREATIVITY. WHAT'S IN STORE: * AN INCREDIBLE SHOWCASE- DISCOVER THE TALENT OF OUR LOCAL GROUP IN A RELAXED, INVITING SETTING. * SIPS & NIBBLES- ENJOY A SELECTION FROM OUR LICENSED BAR AND A VARIETY OF DELICIOUS GOURMET CAKES AND BAKED GOODS PROVIDED BY CHOKKO BAKES * ZOË WILL BE PROVIDING CELIAC AND VEGAN CUPCAKES * A WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE- NO PRETENSION HERE. Art Nest: Fun evening of art and chats 💖🎨

Hi everyone!! This is our women’s only weekly Art Club 🥹🎨🩷 [Reserve tickets here 🩷](https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/1999418153520?aff=oddtdtcreator) What is Art Nest? Art Nest is a midweek creative reset for women who wants to spend a couple of hours creating, meeting like-minded people and unwinding. We get together at The Angry Dog, just a short walk from Southern Cross Station, for an evening of art, chats, snacks and good vibes. There’s a different theme each week to spark some ideas, but there’s no pressure to follow it. Bring your own ideas, experiment with the materials or see where the evening takes you. What's Included? 🎨 All art materials Everything you need to get creative, including paints, pastels, pencils, pens and more. 🥨 Snacks & treats A few snacks to keep you going while you create. 🖼️ A different creative theme every week A little inspiration to get you started, with plenty of room to make it your own. 🫶 A relaxed, social space Come with friends or come solo. Chat, create and meet new people in a laid-back setting. ✏️ Guided art support We’ll be around throughout the evening if you want a little help, inspiration or a second opinion. 💭 No artistic experience needed Art Nest is about enjoying the process, not creating a masterpiece. Collection and Installation Days - 2026 Exhibition 🖼️✨

‼️ THIS EVENT IS FOR THE MEMBERS DROPPING OFF THEIR ARTWORKS FOR THE EXHIBITION ‼️ From the 15-17th of September we will be doing the collection and installation of the artworks for the exhibition. If you are a participant please RSVP so we know what day to expect you to deliver your artworks. Please let us know when you have arrived so we can let you in 🙏 Volunteers are welcome to join, please message me to ask about volunteering to help set things up 🖼️✨

(Co-hosts required) 🎨 Street Art Photo Walk & Conversation - Fitzroy

***\*\*Interested in co-hosting this event? Message Sarah Rus to learn more\*\*\**** Join us at 4:30pm for a relaxed street art walk through Fitzroy, exploring laneways, murals and hidden creative spots while conversation unfolds naturally along the way. **Where to meet:** out the back of 322 Brusbwick Street - look for the group on the footpath. We start walking at 4:45pm sharp. If you love photography, bring your camera or smartphone (charged) to snap some fun photos along the way. We often pose in front of our favourite artworks. Be prepared to be silly with us 🤪 (optional, of course.) This event is about moving at a comfortable pace, noticing what's around us, and letting conversation unfold organically as we walk. There's no need for art knowledge - curiosity is more than enough. The walk has a light structure to help things flow, but nothing rigid. You're welcome to chat as much or as little as you like, and enjoy the experience your own way. Running late? Use the map in the photos to catch us up, and keep an eye on the group as we move between laneways. **Recommended:** download the [Street Art Cities](https://streetartcities.com/) app, which we'll use to hunt down the art. After the walk (around 6pm) you're welcome to stay on for dinner nearby - completely optional. Head back to where we started and choose between: * Hecho En Mexico, 326 Brunswick Street * Yeshi Ethiopian Restaurant, 328 Brunswick Street * Tawooq Fitzroy Lebanese, 329 Brunswick Street Have a chat on the walk and decide together where you'd like to eat. Best suited to adults who are **young-at-heart** and enjoy exploring the city, being outdoors and connecting through shared experiences. Most of our members are somewhere between 25 and 50. Strictly 18+. Sometimes the day doesn't go entirely to plan - a laneway is closed, the group spreads out, the weather turns. That's part of it. Come as you are, keep an eye on the plan, and enjoy what's in front of you. Conversation's an invitation here, never an obligation. Artsy Hangout 👩‍🎨🌲✨

Grab your art supplies and a picnic blanket or camp chair and let’s get together for an artsy hangout on the grass outside Balam Balam Place 👩‍🎨 all kinds of artists and skill levels are welcome to join! If you aren’t sure what to create the club has a weekly theme, just ask me what the prompt is! ☕️ The Home Economics cafe is at the entrance to the main building if you want to grab a drink or sit inside the cafe area ☔️ If there is rain this event will either be moved to Brunswick Library or cancelled ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Please do not attend if you are sick. Cartier Exhibition at the NGV

Join us for a visit to the spectacular Cartier Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. Showcasing over 300 "Diamonds are Forever" pieces, these include jewels worn by women such as Elizabeth Taylor, the Duchess of Windsor, Dame Nellie Melba, Rhianna, and the Begum Aga Khan III. We will meet in the foyer next to the ticket office at 10.50 am: you will need to pre-purchase your tickets ( the Exhibiiton closes on 6th October). After viewing over 20 tiaras we will proceed to lunch on Southbank and the opportunity to discuss our jewellry preferences...don't miss it!

COMICS FESTIVAL SHOWCASE

They have made regular appearances on Rove Live, 9am with David & Kim , Spicks and Specks, The Glass House, Thank God You're Here, The Project, & Good News Week We have a VIP Guest list under "MEET UP" with our own private tables this is where we will meet. We can meet for dinner before hand at 7pm or just for drinks at 7.30pm just before the show. Friends and family are also welcome to put their hand up for tickets. Plenty of parking. Tickets are $5 (Normally $15) pay at the door on arrival.
