Cartier Exhibition at the NGV

Join us for a visit to the spectacular Cartier Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. Showcasing over 300 "Diamonds are Forever" pieces, these include jewels worn by women such as Elizabeth Taylor, the Duchess of Windsor, Dame Nellie Melba, Rhianna, and the Begum Aga Khan III. We will meet in the foyer next to the ticket office at 10.50 am: you will need to pre-purchase your tickets ( the Exhibiiton closes on 6th October). After viewing over 20 tiaras we will proceed to lunch on Southbank and the opportunity to discuss our jewellry preferences...don't miss it!

Please come and collect your artworks!! 🖼️✨ Collection times are Sunday 5-6pm Monday 12-5pm If you cannot collect your artworks during these times the gallery owner Collin will be holding onto them until you can collect them. Please contact him, he can also organise delivery If you do not want to collect your artworks please message me to let me know! Some artists abandoned their art last year so please let me know if you don’t want it back 🙏

Judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW, the prize is awarded to the best portrait painting. Since 1921, it has highlighted figures from all walks of life, from famous faces to local heroes, reflecting back to us the stories of our times. This touring exhibition at SAM (only site in Victoria) is an opportunity to see the finalists in the *Archibald Prize 2026*. Travel by public transport is recommended as the event will include walks to/from Shepparton Station. Time to enjoy a pub lunch then a walk to the Museum for a 2PM entry (last entry is at 3 PM). SAM traces its history back to 1936. The current purpose built complex, sitting opposite the man made Lake Victoria on the main north/south route in the city, was opened in 2021. SAM holds over 4,000 artworks, including one of the largest ceramic art collections in Australia. **GRADE \| LENGTH \| TYPE**: Grade 1 - Easy and Social, 4 km in total via multiple walks on sealed paths (graded according to the **[AWTGS: Australian Walking Tracks Grading System](https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/things-to-do/hiking-and-bushwalking/choose-the-right-hike/how-walking-tracks-are-rated)**). **ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION**: Departing the train at Shepparton Station, we will walk some 7 minutes or 500 metres to the GV Hotel for lunch. The final walk will be via a different route of 20 minutes or 1.4 kms to Shepparton Railway Station to catch the final train back to Melbourne at 5:03 PM (arriving at Southern Cross at 7:39 PM). For 2026 there were 1,034 Archibald Prize entries from which 59 were selected for judgement and display. A total of 42 per cent of Archibald finalists were painted by first-time nominees. From the remainder, the S. H. Ervin Gallery at The Rocks in Sydney selected works for an alternative display called the Salon Des Refusés, which has existed since 1992. Archibald Prize 2026 is a timed-ticket exhibition, with entry at sixty-minute intervals on the hour until the last entry at 3pm. Magic Show at Laneway Theatre

COMICS FESTIVAL SHOWCASE

They have made regular appearances on Rove Live, 9am with David & Kim , Spicks and Specks, The Glass House, Thank God You're Here, The Project, & Good News Week We have a VIP Guest list under "MEET UP" with our own private tables this is where we will meet. We can meet for dinner before hand at 7pm or just for drinks at 7.30pm just before the show. Friends and family are also welcome to put their hand up for tickets. Plenty of parking. Tickets are $5 (Normally $15) pay at the door on arrival.

Artsy Hangout 👩‍🎨🌲✨

Grab your art supplies and a picnic blanket or camp chair and let’s get together for an artsy hangout on the grass outside Balam Balam Place 👩‍🎨 all kinds of artists and skill levels are welcome to join! If you aren’t sure what to create the club has a weekly theme, just ask me what the prompt is! ☕️ The Home Economics cafe is at the entrance to the main building if you want to grab a drink or sit inside the cafe area ☔️ If there is rain this event will either be moved to Brunswick Library or cancelled ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Please do not attend if you are sick. Artsy Afternoon @ O3Space ✨

Join us for a chill artsy afternoon, bring any art supplies you like 👩‍🎨🎨📝✨ Access to O3Space requires you to have the minimum ( FREE! ) membership that you sign up for when you download their app. Simply download the O3Space app, create a profile and use the QR code at the gate to enter/exit the building. The gate is located inside the tram on the right side of the cafe ☕️🚊 The free membership allows you in the building for up to 3 hours per week, if you go over they might charge you so make sure to use the QR code on your way out!! There is a timer countdown in the app so you know how long you have been there ⏰
