Form & Flow: Introduction to Alcohol Ink

Sat, Nov 14, 3:00 PM

From Berlin Art Workshops

4.4

**Alcohol ink? What is that?** Alcohol ink is a vibrant, fluid medium known for its intense colors and unpredictable movement. As the inks blend, spread, and react, they create luminous layers, delicate textures, and surprising organic forms, making every artwork entirely unique. In this workshop, you'll be introduced to the extraordinary possibilities of alcohol ink on Yupo paper. Drawing on years of experience, I will share unique techniques I have developed to guide and control the ink, while still allowing space for flow, chance, and surprise. **Who is this for?** This workshop is open to everyone! From complete beginners to professional artists. No experience is needed: the material is intuitive, the process is exciting, and every participant will leave with vivid, original artworks. **Who am I ? :)** I’m Elinor Sahm, a Berlin based multidisciplinary artist . My practice moves between painting, drawing, installation and sound, and my work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, and art fairs across Europe. Alongside my artistic practice, I have many years of experience teaching and guiding people through creative processes. Alcohol ink has been an important part of my work for nearly a decade. Over the years, I have developed my own techniques for working with its fluid movement, intense color, and unpredictable reactions, and have taught them in numerous workshops. In this workshop, I will introduce you to the medium through my own artistic approach and help you discover your own way of working with it. **[Tickets: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/elinorsahm/2400139](https://www.tickettailor.com/events/elinorsahm/2400139)**

Watercolours for Beginners

Mon, Nov 9, 5:00 PM

From Berlin Art Club

4.8

If you’re just starting out with watercolours—maybe you’ve painted a bit at home or followed a tutorial or two, but still feel a little lost—I think you’re going to like this! First, we’ll practice **wet-on-wet, layering washes, colour mixing, transparency** and more. After this first part of the class, once you’ve discovered a few watercolour effects, you’ll have time to practise them by applying them to simple shapes (animals, plants, etc.) that I’ll provide. With the help of examples—and my guidance, of course—you’ll practise alongside other watercolour enthusiasts, supporting and learning from one another. **No previous experience needed**—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. **Monday 9.11** from 6:00 to 7:30 PM **In Friedrichshain**, Berlin (exact address by e-mail) **Price:** * 28€ Payment via PayPal / Bank transfer **Material:** Material for watercolours is very specific. If you use poor-quality or non-professional material, you won't achieve the optimal results. Please check this helpful guide: [https://www.instagram.com/p/CKWdOx6FczD/](https://www.instagram.com/p/CKWdOx6FczD/) * I recommend bringing your own material so you can keep practising at home after the classes. If you don't want to buy it, I can also lend it to you for a small extra fee. Please let me know in advance. ### **Booking by email only:** Email: **hola.berlinartclub@gmail.com** You’ll receive payment details and the exact address upon confirmation. 🎟️ **Spaces are limited—join us!** Hitting 'I'll attend' here does not save you a spot; don't forget to email me first to see if there is still space.
