Instructed Drawing Night at the Met focuses on charcoal pencil drawing through close study of the museum’s Greek and Roman figure sculptures. Our instructor, Elizabeth Johnson, will guide students in developing technical control of charcoal pencils while working from these classical forms. After a brief demonstration, students will create charcoal drawings around the gallery with guidance from the instructor. Materials: Charcoal Pencils only\*\*\* (HB and 4B) 2H graphite pencil Small & Medium blending stump Kneaded eraser Eraser Drawing paper This event is not affiliated with Met Museum educators. Please arrive prepared to purchase a ticket to the Met Museum.
