We keep it fun, welcoming, and laid-back and promise an inclusive atmosphere where you can share your experiences, learn from others, and discover fresh opportunities for collaboration. All types of creators and content-adjacent professionals are welcome. Come ready to brainstorm, connect, and have fun! **Event Flow** **3:00–4:00 PM \| Focus Hour** We kick things off with a dedicated work block. Bring your laptop, camera, ideas, or notes. This hour is all about creating. Whether that be recording content, planning future projects, collaborating with others, or locking in on work you’ve been putting off. Headphones encouraged. Momentum required. **4:00–7:00 PM \| Connect \+ Chill** Once the work is done, the space opens up. Mingle, share what you’re working on, meet new people, exchange ideas, and build genuine connections in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. **7:00 PM → \| Happy Hour** To wrap the night, we take the energy outside. We’ll head to a nearby restaurant or bar to unwind, celebrate the work, and keep the conversations going over food and drinks. Musical Theater Workshop

We are the **[Brooklyn Alternative Musical Theater Collective](https://www.bkalttheater.com/)**, and we'd love for you to join us at the lovely [Secret Pour](https://www.instagram.com/secretpour/) by the Kosciuszko J train to showcase some of our works in progress. Do you have short scenes you want to be read aloud? Do you have songs you want to perform? Good news, we have talented actors and singers ready to engage with your material. Need feedback on your work? Just ask! We’ll rip it to shreds! You will be taught how to shoot a self-tape with your smart phone that will be professionaly ready to be viewed by NYC casting directors! Singles Improv Night & Mixer (Ages 30s - 40s)
Wed, Jul 29, 10:00 PMNo acting or improv experience needed! Come laugh, connect, and meet new people through fun, guided improv activities in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy a 1-hour interactive improv class followed by a 1-hour social mixer with light refreshments and snacks included. This is a ticketed event — A pre-purchased ticket is required to attend. Participation in the improv class ($40) is limited to 16 guests (8 ladies / 8 men) to keep the experience engaging and comfortable. Spectator tickets ($25) are also available for those who would like to watch the class, enjoy refreshments, and join the social mixer afterward. For singles in their 30s–40s (and if you're slightly outside this range, that's okay too!) I’ve found that it can be surprisingly hard to make time to see fellow actors, writers, models, and other creative people outside of class, rehearsals, and work. So I wanted to create a casual weekly space where we can connect, meet new people, share what we’re working on, and build community. As we grow, the location may change if I find a spot that’s an even better fit for the group. The vibe is less of a formal networking event and more of a relaxed creative meetup where people can talk about acting, auditions, projects, industry experiences, goals, or whatever else is on their minds. A few notes: * No drinking is necessary—totally up to you. * The bar also has food, soda, and other non-alcoholic options available. * Feel free to invite actor friends and other creatives who would enjoy the community. * Come as you are—whether you’re just starting out or have been in the industry for years.
