Ayse Polat: Building Beyond Completion-Leverage Design & Construction Data
Thu, Jul 16, 10:00 PM**Building Beyond Completion: Leveraging Design and Construction Data for Smart Buildings, Digital Twins, and AI Integration** Sponsored by Graitec, Ayse Polat will be presenting: Project data generated during design and construction is often underutilized once a building is occupied, despite its potential to support long-term operational performance. This session explores how information created throughout project delivery can become a valuable resource for facility management, smart building systems, digital twins, and emerging artificial intelligence applications. Participants will examine how smart building technologies use connected data to enhance building operations, improve occupant experiences, and support more efficient decision-making. The presentation will also demonstrate how digital twins create a continuous link between design intent, construction outcomes, and operational performance by maintaining a dynamic digital representation of the built asset. Finally, attendees will explore how AI can leverage historical and real-time building data to identify trends, predict maintenance needs, and optimize performance across the asset lifecycle. The session provides practical insights into transforming project information into long-term operational value. **Learning objectives:** · Understand the value of design and construction data after project completion. · Learn how smart building systems improve building operations and user experience. · Explore how digital twins connect design, construction, and operations. · Identify how AI can support better building decisions and lifecycle performance. **Microsoft Teams meeting** **Join:** [https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/25524332788594?p=sJ8FZgzCVZ2Rf2Izbi](https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/25524332788594?p=sJ8FZgzCVZ2Rf2Izbi "Meeting join") Meeting ID: 255 243 327 885 94 Passcode: DL3o8hv9 *** [Need help?](https://aka.ms/JoinTeamsMeeting?omkt=en-US) \| [System reference](https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_Mzg3MzQzYTQtMTYxMy00YjIyLTg4YTUtODIzYTE1MjFhZWY3%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%220fc6889f-bf23-4c66-a071-f35150aabdfa%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%225f7aa5b0-d1e9-40e0-8c9d-74b0d20c89d6%22%7d) **Dial in by phone** [+1 531-205-2209,,136886768#](tel:+15312052209,,136886768) United States, Omaha [Find a local number](https://dialin.teams.cloud.microsoft/e1607c7c-f4af-4edc-9d47-10ce22c20bfb?id=136886768) Phone conference ID: 136 886 768# For organizers: [Meeting options](https://teams.microsoft.com/meetingOptions/?organizerId=5f7aa5b0-d1e9-40e0-8c9d-74b0d20c89d6&tenantId=0fc6889f-bf23-4c66-a071-f35150aabdfa&threadId=19_meeting_Mzg3MzQzYTQtMTYxMy00YjIyLTg4YTUtODIzYTE1MjFhZWY3@thread.v2&messageId=0&language=en-US) \| [Reset dial-in PIN](https://dialin.teams.cloud.microsoft/usp/pstnconferencing)

🏛️ LET’S GO — Inside Donald Judd’s SoHo Home & Studio
Sat, Aug 8, 4:30 PM## **A Private Guided Visit to 101 Spring Street** 🗓 **Saturday\, August 8\, 2026 \| 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM** 📍 **Judd Foundation / 101 Spring Street** 101 Spring Street, New York, NY 10012 👥 **Limited Group Event** 💵 **Special Social Club Price: $35 Per Member** ## ✨ A Rare SoHo Art, Architecture & Design Experience Join us for a very special private group visit to **101 Spring Street**, the historic SoHo home and studio of artist **Donald Judd**. This is not a traditional museum visit. 101 Spring Street is a preserved five-story cast-iron building in the heart of SoHo, where Donald Judd lived, worked, collected, designed, and permanently installed art, furniture, and objects in relation to the architecture of the building itself. It is one of New York City’s most fascinating hidden cultural spaces — part artist’s home, part studio, part architectural landmark, and part living installation. ## 🎨 Who Was Donald Judd? Donald Judd was one of the most important American artists of the 20th century and a central figure in the development of Minimalist art, although he resisted being confined by that label. His work transformed how people think about art, space, form, proportion, material, light, and environment. At 101 Spring Street, Judd created something extraordinary: a building where art, architecture, furniture, and daily life were carefully arranged as a complete visual and spatial experience. Rather than simply hanging art on walls, Judd treated the entire building as an environment. ## 🏛️ About 101 Spring Street Donald Judd purchased 101 Spring Street in 1968, when SoHo was still an industrial neighborhood filled with cast-iron buildings, lofts, and artists’ spaces. The building became his New York residence and studio, and it remains one of the most important preserved artists’ spaces in the city. During our visit, we will move through the building floor by floor, seeing how Judd arranged art, furniture, architecture, and objects in carefully considered relationships. This is a rare opportunity to experience the actual environment Judd created, rather than seeing his work removed from context in a conventional gallery or museum. ## 🖼️ What We Will Experience Our private guided visit will include: ✨ Donald Judd’s historic SoHo home and studio ✨ Five floors of art, design, architecture, and living space ✨ A preserved cast-iron building in the heart of SoHo ✨ Works, furniture, and objects installed in relation to the building ✨ A private group format reserved for our Social Club ✨ Two guides for our group, allowing for a more intimate visit The visit offers a unique look at the relationship between art and environment, and how an artist can shape an entire building into a complete creative world. ## 👥 Private Group Format This will be a **private guided visit for our Social Club**. Because of the size and nature of the building, our group will be divided into two smaller groups, each with its own guide. Both groups will begin at the same time and rotate through the building. This allows us to experience the space properly while keeping the visit intimate and manageable. ## 💵 Cost and Pricing The cost for this event is: # **$35 Per Member** Please note that this is a **private group visit**, not the regular public guided visit. The public guided visit is priced slightly lower, but public visits are limited to a very small number of participants and are not arranged exclusively for our group. Our private visit allows our Social Club to attend together, with two guides, a reserved group time, and no outside public visitors included in our tour. The actual private group cost quoted to us is **$40 per person**, but I am offering this event to members at **$35 per person**. As with all paid Social Club events, payments are nonrefundable unless the event itself is canceled. ## ⏰ Event Schedule **12:15 PM** — Meet outside 101 Spring Street **12:30 PM** — Private guided visit begins **12:30 PM – 1:45 PM** — Guided visit through the building **1:45 PM – 2:00 PM** — Wrap-up and departure The Foundation reserves up to 90 minutes for the visit. ## ⚠️ Important Accessibility Note This visit involves moving through a five-story historic building. The guided visit includes walking up several flights of stairs, one floor at a time, with time spent on each floor before moving to the next level. An elevator is available for accessibility if needed, but members should be aware that this is a historic building and the visit involves vertical movement through the space. Bathrooms are located in the sub-basement. ## 🌟 Why This Event Is Special This is exactly the kind of hidden New York cultural experience that makes our Social Club so special. Many people know SoHo for shopping, galleries, restaurants, and cast-iron architecture, but very few have been inside Donald Judd’s preserved home and studio at 101 Spring Street. This is a chance to step inside a private world of art, design, architecture, and history — and to experience a landmark space that most New Yorkers have never seen. Join us for a rare and fascinating private visit to one of SoHo’s most important hidden cultural treasures.

Behind-the-Scenes @ Saint Thomas Church with Exclusive Bell Tower Climb
Sat, Jul 18, 5:00 PMTickets: $45.25 ( incl. $5.25 fees ) (advance registration required) Click the link below to officially register for this experience: [https://www.nyadventureclub.com/event/1979308295393](https://www.nyadventureclub.com/event/1979308295393) With Lower Manhattan's population bursting at the seams by the 1860s, the parish of Saint Thomas Church decided to move north and build a new church in the Gothic style on Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street — at that time, a quiet and rural tract. Fast forward to today and the congregation's fourth church — built at that same location in 1913 — still stands. It's time to explore the historic halls, rooms, and tower of one of New York's most notable churches in a way few others have ever before. Join [New York Adventure Club](http://www.nyadventureclub.com/) for an exclusive tour and bell tower climb at [Saint Thomas Church](http://www.saintthomaschurch.org/), a century-old church on Fifth Avenue built in the French High Gothic style and designed by the architectural firm of Cram, Goodhue, and Ferguson. Led by a Saint Thomas Church tour guide, our special experience throughout the historic church will include: * The **history and story of Saint Thomas Church**, from why the first church was built so far uptown in the 1820s to how their famed Choir of Men and Boys got its start * A discussion around the most historic elements in the church including the magnificent **80-foot high reredos**, one of the largest in the world * **Special access** through various historic spaces and chambers in the church that are usually not accessible to the public * **An exclusive trip up the church’s historic bell tower** for unique vantage points of the main sanctuary, church bells room, and attic above the nave — a total of nearly 95 feet [Click here](https://nyadventureclub.com/gallery/30521136) to see pictures from one of our last visits to Saint Thomas Church! See you there! \*If you plan on participating in the bell tower climb in the second half of the tour, please bring water and wear a comfortable pair of shoes as we’ll be doing a lot of walking and stair climbing \*\*Please note that the spiral stairwells up the bell tower are quite narrow, and can be uncomfortable for those with claustrophobia — if you choose to not ascend the church stairs, you may wait on the ground floor for the group to return Disclaimer By attending a New York Adventure Club experience, you accept our [terms of service](https://about.nyadventureclub.com/terms).
