Queens Fiber Arts Festival

The Queens Fiber Arts Festival is on Saturday, Nov 7th! Its at Kings Manor Museum in Jamaica, Queens. The Guild will be tabling from 11 am to 4 pm and teaching crochet time TBD (supplies provided). Directions to Kings Manor House in Jamaica, Queens. **From LIRR** from Grand Central Station, Penn Station, or Brooklyn stops to Jamaica Station. Take the elevator down to the street level. Turn left on Sutphin Blvd, walk 2 blocks to Jamaica Ave. Turn right on Jamaica Ave and it's 3 blocks walk until you get to the park. Only $5 dollars each way from any NYC station for LIRR and with a travel time of 20-30 mins. **Nearest subway** is the E, J train at Jamaica Center-Parsons Archer. Exit at Archer Ave, walk until to 153rd St, turn right at the Church then left on Jamaica Ave. to enter the park. If you exit at Parsons Blvd, walk on Parsons Blvd and turn left on Jamaica Ave. It's 3 blocks walk until you get to the park. November 2026 Knit+Wine Night

**Join us for our next Knit+Wine Night on Sunday, November 29, 2026 from 5-7:00pm.** **Please note that** **space is limited to 15 people.** **For those of you who are new to Knit+Wine Night, this is an informal community event for knitters (& other crafters and textile enthusiasts) to come together to work on their own projects and enjoy the company of other makers. All types of knitters, crocheters, and fiber crafters are welcome!** **\*****\*****This is \****not\** ***a class.********* **The cafe has a focused menu of beverages, including tea, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails, and a small selection of pastries.** **Please note you must make a purchase in order to enter the cafe. The staff is wonderful and welcoming!** **NOTE a change in the way you sign up. Historically we have had too many who sign up and not show up. In order to accommodate all who intend to participate your $3.00 payment must be made to reserve your space. Those who do not will be relieved from the attendee column and a waitlist paying participant will be moved up. This is an informal get-together where we can just make things with our hands while idly chatting. Let's craft, show each other our projects, get inspired, and make friends all along the way! The Art of Crafting is a small group of crafty, artistic people who have been meeting together for a few years. We've decided to host an open street event to expand our network and find likeminded people. Come join us and bring whatever you are currently working on that will make sense to work on out of doors at at table on 31st Avenue. Any and all arts and crafts are welcome, as are any level or skillset. We will have crayons and adult coloring pages for anyone who wants to join in! A monthly meetup for Bronx based makers, creatives and builders ages 18 and older exploring the future of making and workforce development. For this meetup, we will gather at the [NYC FIRST STEM Center](https://www.nycfirst.org/stem-center-locations/afh) at [Andrew Freedman Home](https://www.theafh.org/) for a hands on activity using a laser machine, offering an opportunity to explore digital fabrication and learn by making. We will rotate locations around the borough and meet up every month for a presentation, discussion, hands on activity, or just time to talk shop. If you are not an expert, do not fret! It is about showing up, sharing what you are working on, and meeting other people making things with their hands in the Bronx. Beginners and pros are welcome. Just come as you are! *This event is for people 18 years of age or older*

**Join us at Art Retail Therapy in Jackson Heights for the next Queens Fiber Crafters MeetUp in-person gathering. This is a social gathering of knitters, crocheters, hand spinners who come together to work on their own projects and enjoy the company of other fiber enthusiasts.** **Francisco of Art Retail Therapy has graciously agreed to host our group for its ongoing gatherings. As this Meet-Up has taken off we are changing the payment model to send through payment with your RSVP ($15). Cash or Venmo only. Please contact me for RSVP in cash or Venmo details. We have had many people sign-up and subsequently not attend, leaving those on a wait list unable to secure a place at the crafting table.** **This is a fun easy weeknight gathering of crafters.
