Twice a month, we’ll meet at **Monbijou Park** for a relaxed evening of **good conversations, new connections, and cultural exchange**. **What’s the idea?** We keep it simple: **bring your favorite drinks or snacks**, enjoy a laid-back picnic, and connect with people from all over the world. Whether you’re new in Berlin or have been here for years, this is a great way to meet interesting people in a relaxed atmosphere. **What about languages?** This is not a structured Sprachcafé, but since Berlin Lingua Hub is all about languages and cultural exchange, you’ll naturally find people speaking different languages. Present in joy, grief, and struggle, it carries cultural memory and layered meaning; embodying identity, history, and resistance. **Queer Bridges: Forging connections and providing resources for LGBTQIA+ people with experiences of migration and/or displacement.** Queer people with experiences of migration and/or displacement in Berlin often face unique challenges in their daily lives that can limit their access to supportive communities and inclusive environments. With the support of the **Deutsche Fernsehlotterie Stiftung**, we have developed the Queer Bridges program to overcome these barriers. We provide resources, networking and support in a welcoming environment for queer immigrants and refugees through our special program. Onigiri Workshop

Reis bildet das Herzstück der japanischen Küche. Ihn richtig zuzubereiten bedeutet jedoch viel mehr, als ihn einfach nur zu kochen. In diesem praktischen Workshop lernt ihr, wie japanischer Reis richtig gewaschen, vorbereitet und gekocht wird. Anschließend bereiten wir daraus gemeinsam Onigiri und hausgemachtes Sushi zu. Nach dem gemeinsamen Kochen setzen wir uns zusammen und genießen unser Abendessen. Einige eurer selbst gemachten Onigiri könnt ihr anschließend mit nach Hause nehmen. In der Teilnahmegebühr sind der Workshop, das Abendessen, alkoholfreie Getränke sowie Onigiri zum Mitnehmen enthalten. Alkoholische Getränke sind nicht inbegriffen. Rice is at the heart of Japanese cuisine—but preparing it well involves much more than simply cooking it. During this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to wash, prepare and cook Japanese rice properly. We will then use it to make onigiri and home-style sushi together. After cooking, we’ll sit down and enjoy dinner together. You’ll also be able to take some of your handmade onigiri home with you.
