đŸŽČ Neurodivergent Board & Card Game Meetup đŸŽČ

đŸŽČ Neurodivergent Board & Card Game Meetup đŸŽČ

Sat, Jul 11, 12:00 PM
From Berlin Neurodivergent Community
4.7

**Join us for an afternoon of board games/card games, connection, and fun!** Location: Zwischenraume, formerly Curious Fabrications https://maps.app.goo.gl/v8tCPcZugTmRq8HN8 Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to playing games, you're welcome here. We’ll teach you some of our favorites, or you can bring your own game and introduce it to others. **📖 What to Expect** * We’re passionate about board games and excited to share them with you! * No experience needed - we'll decide spontaneously which games we'll play depending on the games you bring and then guide you through the rules of games. We are **happy to help you choose a game** that suits you best. Some games are cooperative, while others are competitive—so there’s something for everyone! If you'd like, bring your own board or card game! Just be prepared to explain the rules to new players. We'll also have an extra silent room for noise sensitive people since some games can be very loud. 🔊 Arriving late? No problem! You may be able to join a game right away or there might be a short wait. 📖 **Event Guidelines** ❀ **Be kind and respectful**—we’re creating a safe and welcoming space together. đŸ§© **Bring anything that helps you feel comfortable** (noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, etc.). ☕ Since we’re meeting at a cafĂ©, **please support the venue by ordering a snack or drink. Outside drinks or snacks are not permitted.** 📖 **Limited Spots & RSVPs** To keep the event enjoyable for everyone, we have a limited number of spaces available. If you RSVP and can no longer make it, please update your RSVP as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot. This helps us plan games and ensure everyone has a great time! Come as you are and enjoy a space where you can have fun, experience games, and connect with other neurodivergent folks. **We can’t wait to meet you!**

Bring a Song: A Music Listening Night

Bring a Song: A Music Listening Night

Fri, Jul 17, 5:00 PM
From The Discussion Experiment - Berlin
4.6

**Please note that we invite people through different channels, so there are more attendees than you can see here :)** In The Discussion Experiment we usually meet to talk about relevant political, philosophical and personal topics, but sometimes we just want to have fun, therefore: What can we discover when we don’t just listen to music while doing something else, but as a group and in silence? What will catch our attention and how does the group setting change the experience? At this event, we’ll take some time to listen to different songs, let them have an effect on us, and share whatever we care to put out there. After each piece, we’ll take about five minutes to share our impressions. You can spontaneously suggest songs to listen to but don’t stress about choosing the „right“ song! From the most sophisticated masterpiece of music history to Aqua’s Barbie Girl, you can suggest whatever you are curious about that night. Or, in fact, you can just listen and not contribute actively, if that’s what you prefer. Join us, it will be fun. Anyone and everyone is welcome! **This is a paid event. Entry costs 5€ plus a fee that meetup charges.** It is free however for regular guests (if you have been to 2 or more events) and you are also very welcome to join for free, if you currently have to be careful with money. DM us in that case. **FAQ** ***What can I expect from the event?*** Each event is a an experiment so it’s difficult to predict exactly how it will play out. This time it is all about listening to music together in silence and then share impressions. If we have more people than time for songs, we’ll draw lots to decide who gets to suggest one. We want this to be a relaxed event. It’s not about picking out particularly unique or sophisticated songs to impress others. Any song you’re curious to hear the group’s thoughts on is good enough. ***Will the audio quality be amazing?*** No 🙂 It will be fine. We will stream the music and use ordinary speakers, so if you are a super duper hifi kind of person you might be disappointed. ***Do I have to speak? Do I have to suggest a song?*** No. It’s perfectly fine to just listen. You can decide for yourself at any time how active you want to be and will not be asked to speak. However, there might be a name round in the beginning. ***Who is this event for?*** This event is for anyone who is curious about it. We aim to create spaces where people of all ages, identities, and backgrounds feel welcome. You don’t need to prepare anything, have strong opinions, or be extroverted to take part. ***What’s the duration of the event?*** Each event lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. Feel welcome to stay a bit longer to finish the snacks, chat with other participants, and deepen the conversation. ***Is the venue wheelchair accessible?*** The venue is on the ground floor and accessible with wheelchairs. However, there are unfortunately no wheelchair-accessible bathrooms! ***What is "The Discussion Experiment"*** The Discussion Experiment is an ongoing series of events through which we continuously test methods that foster more meaningful and inspiring group conversations. Among other things, we experiment with techniques that slow down discussions, improve clarity, and support participants in expressing their ideas more effectively. This event however is less about discussing and more about exploring music together. This event is co-organized by Kirstin MĂŒller. Read more about the whole project [on our website](http://%5Bhttps://diskussions-experiment.de/en/home/%5D(https://diskussions-experiment.de/en/home/) "\[https://diskussions-experiment.de/en/home/\](https://diskussions-experiment.de/en/home/)"). The project is run by Igor Don and Maria Scholze.
