In the Kitchen With Hardik and Unserious Brunch- the non-chef edition
Sat, Oct 3, 9:00 AM**L’Atelier des Non Chefs – Non Chef Edition** *LabCuina – Special Collection: “In the Kitchen With”* Obrador \| Saturday at 11h Plant\-based \| Organic \| Local \| Seasonal \| Zero Waste Menu of the day: Stay Tuned! **The Spirit** L’Atelier des Non Chefs – Non Chef Edition is a **collective, joyful, and inclusive cooking experience** for people who love food without needing to be professional chefs. It celebrates: \*Learning by doing * Sharing knowledge and cultures \*Simplicity and creativity * Community over performance What are the primary goals of this brunch? This gathering **unserious brunch** centers on two main objectives: Plant-Based Integration: The aim is to make vegan options a natural part of daily life through recipes that are sustainable, whole-food-based, nutritious, and, most importantly, quick and easy to prepare. Community and Solidarity: Even more vital is fostering a sense of community. It serves as a sanctuary for activists and those fighting injustice to connect with like-minded individuals, share meaningful time, and find respite from the resistance encountered in their work. It is intended to be a safe, inclusive environment rooted in empathy and love. **How is the event structured?** The event begins with a brief welcome, after which participants are organized into teams for various tasks. This structure ensures efficient cooking while allowing everyone, regardless of skill level, to gain hands-on experience. True to the "unserious cooking" name, the environment is low-pressure and focused on collective learning. To ensure the experience is practical, we use simple, healthy ingredients to create a manageable three-course meal. Throughout the process, we maintain cleanliness to optimize our workflow. Once the meal is finished, we again divide into teams for an efficient cleanup. **What is the schedule and capacity?** Timing: The event is currently planned for a three-hour window, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. **Financial Contribution – “Participacion Consciente”** L’Atelier des Non Chefs works with a **conscious contribution model**: \*The **price of ingredients** is communicated (which is an estimated 5-6€ for this specific menu) * Each participant contributes according to their means \*Contributions help sustain the kitchen, materials, and collective activities This system keeps the atelier **accessible**, fair, and community-supported. **What is LabCuina?** **LabCuina** is a social kitchen project from 2013 that combines: * Plant Based and zero waste Food experimentation \*Community learning * Cultural exchange It is a space where cooking becomes a tool for: \*Social connection * Education \*Ecological awareness * Collective creativity **What is a Social Canteen?** A **social canteen** is more than a place to eat. It is a space where food is used to: \*Build community * Create inclusion \*Share resources * Support accessibility Meals are affordable, participatory, and values-driven, focusing on care rather than profit. **Why We Are Doing This** We believe that cooking together can: \*Strengthen social bonds * Empower people \*Encourage sustainable food choices * Reconnect us with simple, shared rituals In a fast-paced world, L’Atelier des Non Chefs creates a **slow, human, and meaningful moment** around food. **Come as you are.** **Cook together.** **Eat together.** **Learn together.**

Yoga for Queer People
Sun, Oct 4, 8:00 AM**Yoga sessions celebrating queer joy, self-love, and good energy. Bring a towel or a mat and flow with us.** Join us on the first Sunday of each month for a yoga practice held specifically for Queer folks. No need to translate, hide or shrink any part of yourself to be here. Much of what gets called "yoga" in the West has quietly inherited rigid, binary, body-policing ideas that have little to do with the tradition's actual roots. This class moves through āsana, breath and a bit of philosophy, in a group where Queerness is the default. All levels welcome. No prior practice, flexibility, or "yoga body" required. After practice, you’re invited to grab tea/coffee/cake + hang out, talk, connect, build friendships and more. The inspiration to connect beyond the mat comes from the beautiful Yoga Community Project created by Matti in London. If you’re also longing for community here, come be part of this. This practice is donation based, on a sliding scale from €5-€10. You may donate via Bizum, bank transfer or in cash after the practice. Due to systems of oppression, we find ourselves financially in different places in our lives. When making a donation, we encourage you to reflect on the privileges or lack of privileges you have and consider the opportunities or lack of opportunities that society, systems, policies, and structures have afforded you based on your caste, race, gender identity, class, sexual orientation, and body ability. Location: Ciutadella Park, [Plaça de Sonia Rescalvo Zafra](https://maps.app.goo.gl/BBpDX9rEEcUn2num6?g_st=ac) ✨ As we can only offer 15 spots, places are limited; if your plans change, kindly cancel your registration so someone else can take your place. **Accessibility** • The practice area is located in the park. The entrance to the practice has eight steps • Wooden surface (may be harder for the body – please bring what you need for comfort, for example a towel) • No added scents or incense • Public toilet at \~250m and accessible toilets • Outdoors – please dress for the weather **What to bring** • Blanket, mat or towel (anything non‑slippery) • Small towel/cushion to support sitting bones, knees or head • Sun/mosquito protection/Warm layers for cold seasons • Bottle of water • Anything else that supports your practice We hope to see you there!

Yoga for Global Majority (BIPOC)
Sun, Oct 11, 8:00 AM**Yoga for folks of the Global Majority - all levels, body types, and backgrounds welcome. Bring a towel or a mat and flow with us.** Join us on every second Sunday of each month for a yoga practice for Black, Indigenous and People of the Global Majority to reconnect with yoga as the full philosophical and spiritual system it was always meant to be and not the whitewashed version sold back to us. We'll draw on yoga's deeper teachings (breath, meditation, the yamas and niyamas) as tools for collective healing, in a space where no one needs to explain or justify their presence. Come as you are, whatever your body and history bring into the room. All levels welcome. No prior practice, flexibility, or "yoga body" required. After practice, you’re invited to grab tea/coffee/cake + hang out, talk, connect, build friendships and more.
