A Cure For Brainrot is a non-fiction book club reading philosophy/politics/psychology paired with a film each month. Tuesday club night session - Advanced players only

Hi all (Please note the session price is now £12.50) We are a small, competitive but friendly badminton club who are playing at Swiss cottage leisure centre in London on Tuesdays. We are opening up a few spots each week for advanced players only to attend our members club night session with a view hopefully to joining the club permanently. Any known members of other clubs that have no intention of joining the club who sign up will not be allowed to attend. We play on 4 courts at Swiss cottage leisure centre from 8-10pm. We play with feather shuttles and charge £12.50 per session. The Book Club in London

A relaxed London book club exploring the most influential book in history. Whether you think it’s rubbish, holy, or you’re simply not sure what to make of it, you’re very welcome. We meet for two hours at a time. Our reading list includes books from the Bible — as well as some of the books that didn’t make it into most Bibles. The Bible has shaped culture, law, art and ethics for centuries, yet many people are personally unfamiliar with it. Each evening is structured but informal. The group chooses the book or books to read, and discussion takes place in small groups. No lectures. No pressure. No need to prepare anything in advance. The aim is thoughtful, respectful conversation. Plenty of people feel they know quite a bit about the Bible, yet struggle to read it. This is a space to explore it thoughtfully and honestly — in good company. This club is for: • Curious thinkers • Skeptics • Christians with questions • Anyone who wants to make up their own mind Our only rules? Be curious. Be honest. Be kind. And enjoy yourself. It’s also a chance to find a bit of community along the way. Photos may be taken during the evening to share on the Meetup page or social media to help others see what the group is like. If you prefer not to appear in photos, just let the organiser know at any time. We meet in a private room on the second floor of the Duke of Sussex pub. Welcome to our regular club night session for stronger intermediate level players and above! Sessions cost £10 for Members, and £12 for Guests; please contact an organiser to discuss becoming a Member. Session are held at: Twyford Sports Centre Twyford Crescent Acton W3 9PP We have 2 courts from 8pm to 10pm. Only high quality feather shuttlecocks are used. Shower/change room facilities are available. A water fountains is available outside the venue, though we recommend bringing your own water in case it is not available. The Sobell Badminton club Friday sessions start from 7.30pm, finishing at 10pm. All bookings & payments via the better UK app ( OR this link: https://www.better.org.uk/leisure-centre/london/islington/sobell/sobell-badminton) when possible and IN ADVANCE. £7.30 for members and £11.15 for non-members. Once you have installed the Better App (choose Sobell as the default sport centre) and from the homepage : go via “Book activities”--> "Adult group sessions"--> choose the required date (of a Friday or Sunday session) to book a place!

Sobell Badminton Club: Advanced

We hold our weekly club night at Sobell Leisure Centre: \- Tuesdays 7pm\-10pm \- Courts 1a\-1d \- Sobell Leisure Centre\, Tollington Rd\, London N7 7NY\. We are a friendly, competitive club for players at high intermediate to advanced / league standard. Not suitable for beginners or lower intermediates. We are always looking for new competitive players. The club has a regular attendance of around 25 players, and will be participating in the Middlesex league in ladies' doubles, Open doubles and mixed doubles in the 2025/26 season. We play doubles or mixed doubles only, with top quality feather shuttles. Please RSVP if you like to attend, or don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. Guest Fee is £17 for the 3-hour session. Enquire for our membership options. Please be prepared to pay by bank transfer or cash. The club reserves the right to charge the full fee for non-attendance or if you withdraw later than 4 hours before the start of the session (if your space cannot be filled by another person on the wait list).
