Underwater Hockey (open to new players!)

New players are always welcome to come try it out! What you need: A bathing suit. Preferably something light and tight. We have extra gear for new players. But if you have your own pair of flippers, a snorkeling mask, and a snorkel then bring them along. You can ask them for help finding the pool. If no one is at the front desk just walk past it and there will be a set of stairs on the left. Take the stairs and take a right at the bottom of the stairs. The men's and women's locker rooms are straight ahead, and you will need to go through them to access the pool deck. Once you are out on the pool deck you will be exactly where we practice. Agenda: First 15 minutes: Arrival at the pool, getting gear from the shared gear bin, dividing into two teams, getting gear on. Minutes 15-30: Getting in the water, teaching any new players the basics Minutes 20-70: Scrimmage/practice. Minutes 70-75: Putting away club gear, putting the lane lines back in place, clearing the pool deck. (optional) afterwards: Go to a local restaurant for food, drinks, and socializing.

Workshop: Ecosystem Design

**Service Design DC** is thrilled to welcome **Ray Knickmeyer** for a special hands-on workshop introducing Ecosystem Design, a new framework and approach they are bringing to our community for understanding and reshaping the systems that influence how we work. Ray will share this approach and guide us through applying it to our own organizational realities. Ray’s premise is simple but powerful: when talented people get stuck, the problem is often not a lack of resilience or another tool to adopt, it is the infrastructure around the work. Ecosystem Design helps make that infrastructure visible by mapping the people, rituals, and artifacts that shape our daily experience inside complex organizations. Through a guided mapping exercise led by Ray, you will place yourself at the center of your matrix and build out the surrounding layers. Once your ecosystem is visualized, you will identify pressure points and high-leverage areas within your control. Friday Curanderismo Cacao Ceremony & Sound Bath For Ancestral Healing

### **This is a Curanderismo Ceremony with Sacred Cacao where we will respectfully honor the Spirit of the Sacred Cacao in the traditional ways from the Yucatan Peninsula. Cacao has been used in our Curanderismo tradition to open our hearts to love and healing. During this ceremony we drink Sacred Cacao to welcome our ancestors and invite ancestral healing. Ceremony will close with a soothing sound session** ### **What you MAY EXPERIENCE during this session:** * **Healing of emotional wounds, grief and traumas stored in your ancestral memories.** * **Ancestral Healing and connection to your ancestors.** * **Ability to create self-love and improve relationships with others.** ### **Everyon**e who is respectful and with an open heart can participate in this ceremony of love. You can be any race, gender, have your own spiritual beliefs, or religion as long as you are respectful of our ways. We do the Cacao Ceremony in our traditional way, which is Mexican Shamanism or Curanderismo. ### **NO RECORDING.** Out of respect for our tradition, we do not allow pictures, videos, recordings, or writings about this ceremony or any of our events. This guideline is essential to preserve the sacredness and integrity of our practices and teachings shared during our sessions. This rule is rooted in our beliefs that some aspects of our practice are sacred and should not be shared outside of the community without proper permission. **Photography, video/audio recording, or recordings of any kind are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
