# Tired of dating apps culture and surface-level? This is different. And people often leave surprised by how quickly strangers can feel human, warm, honest, and real again. Free to RSVP, 👉 $59 to confirm your spot [https://consciousconnectionsclub.com/stayconnected](https://consciousconnectionsclub.com/join) Relational Labs is a guided connection experience for singles who want more honest, playful, emotionally intelligent interaction — without performance, pressure, or endless small talk. This is not speed dating. Not networking. Not “pitch yourself to strangers.” It’s a facilitated relational container rooted in psychology, emotional intelligence, attachment work, social dynamics, nervous system awareness, and real-world human connection — made practical enough that you can actually live it instead of reading another 50 books about it. ## What happens • A 2-hour guided online relational experience • Real-time connection exercises designed to create authentic interaction • A format that adapts in real time to whoever is present • Optional participant-led in-person continuation afterward • WhatsApp connection thread after the session ## This may be for you if: • You’re tired of shallow or repetitive social spaces • You want deeper connection without forced intimacy • You enjoy personal growth, psychology, communication, or relational work • You’re open to meeting people in a more intentional way ## Important This experience runs with whoever is present and takes its own shape each time. Sometimes expansive. Sometimes intimate. Both are the real thing.

Fireside Chat with Shannon Scott and Malte Feller

Fireside Chat with Shannon Scott and Malte Feller

Thu, Jul 9, 8:00 AM
From ProductTank Sydney
4.6

We have a **HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT**! 🎉 We're excited to bring you a very special fireside chat this July with **Shannon Scott** and **Malte Feller**, exploring what it takes to build and lead product at global scale. So much is changing in the product world. AI is reshaping how products are built and how teams operate, while the bar for product leadership keeps rising. Few people have navigated this at the scale and speed of global fintech, where the stakes of getting product right are exceptionally high. **During this fireside chat,** Shannon and Malte will dig into scaling product teams across markets, building trust with customers and regulators, why owning your stack matters more than ever in an agentic AI world, and where AI is taking product leadership in finance next - with a special emphasis on what this means for companies and product people here in Australia. Bring your questions to this special event. **About Shannon** Shannon Scott is the Chief Product Officer at Airwallex, where he leads global product strategy and roadmap across the Melbourne-founded fintech now serving over 150,000 businesses worldwide. His work centres on a genuinely hard problem: building global financial infrastructure that earns customer trust across every jurisdiction it touches. He's a strong advocate for owning your stack by securing and designing products from the ground up rather than relying on third parties and for product leaders taking real ownership of bringing AI capabilities to their customers, not leaving CTOs and CFOs to figure it out themselves. Before Airwallex, Shannon spent 11 years at Palantir, where as its first employee outside the US he built the company's international operations from the ground up. **About Malte** Malte Feller has enjoyed a long and successful career in product and company leadership across global tech hubs, originally in Berlin and then Silicon Valley, before finding his home in Sydney. He has held leadership positions including Managing Director of PayPal Australia, COO of Afterpay, and CEO of Linkly. Today, as Founder and Principal of Manzanita Product Leadership, Malte coaches and advises product and company leaders at both startups and large enterprises. ✨ Huge thanks to Airwallex for hosting us at their Sydney office, Ground Level, 29 Balfour Street, Chippendale! This is a unique opportunity to hear from global product leaders like Shannon and gain unforgettable, one-of-a-kind insights.

SydDT #128: When Does Design Become Strategic?

SydDT #128: When Does Design Become Strategic?

Wed, Jul 22, 8:00 AM
From Sydney Design Thinking
4.7

Most designers want to be more strategic. But what does that actually mean? Is strategic design about working on bigger problems? Influencing executives? Creating visions and roadmaps? Driving transformation? Or are we confusing good design with strategic design? Join us for our July meetup where a panel of experienced strategic design leaders will explore one of the most debated questions in our profession: what makes design strategic? We’re lucky to have Dr Leanne Sobel, Jaimes Nel, Paul Merrell, and Lize Wordsworth sharing their insights with short lightning talks before we open up a panel discussion and audience conversation. We'll explore: * What strategic design is * What it isn’t – with common misconceptions and traps * How strategic design differs from other design disciplines * Where strategic design is heading * How designers can increase their strategic influence and impact Expect diverse perspectives, thoughtful discussions, and practical insights for designers at every stage of their career. Come join us for some fun conversations with interesting people in and around the design thinking community. New members are welcome! **SPEAKERS** **[Dr Leanne Sobel](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lsobel/)** **Adjunct Fellow, UTS Business School** Leanne is a strategic designer, researcher, and educator.
