Both groups rotate through Tony and Kash, then everyone regroups with both instructors and all three models for the rain room finale. * Hour 1 (12:00–1:00 PM): Group A with Tony in the white cyc studio. Group B with Kash in the studio with RGB walls and a tunnel. * Hour 2 (1:00–2:00 PM): Groups switch. Tony and Kash stay in their studios and teach the same material to the new group. * Hour 3 (2:00–3:00 PM): Both groups join Tony and Kash in the rain room for a creative finale — practicing rain photography techniques with all three models. By the end of the afternoon, every attendee has learned directly from Tony in the white cyc studio, learned directly from Kash in the RGB studio, and shot alongside both instructors in the rain room. **WHAT YOU WILL LEARN** *With Tony* — Studio with white cyc wall (Pro Lighting & Workflow) * One-light mastery: building professional portraits with a single modifier and thoughtful placement * Light control: adding reflectors and hair lights, making a white backdrop go dark * Live tethered demonstration with shots streaming to iPad for real-time instruction * Editing workflow intro using Evoto AI *With Kash* — Studio with RGB walls and tunnel (Creative Portraits & Movement) * Low-light shooting with neon and RGB walls — balancing highlights and shadow detail * Composition and negative space using the studio's tunnel and color * Color theory using environmental lights to shift mood * Directing models and posing micro-adjustments * Artistic shutter drag — combining long exposure with flash for light trails. Joint finale — The rain room with black cyc wall * Freezing motion: camera settings for crisp water droplets * Precision focus techniques so your camera doesn't hunt through the rain * Dramatic backlighting to make the rain pop and create cinematic silhouettes * Creative shooting time with both instructors and all three models **ABOUT TONY** Tony Northrup is an **award-winning NYC photographer and author of the bestselling *Stunning Digital Photography***. Known to his **1.6 million YouTube subscribers** for his deep technical expertise, Tony brings **30 years of experience** to his in-person workshops. His editorial portraiture studies connection, personality, light, and style, utilizing dramatic studio setups to tell compelling stories. Tony's workshops are designed for measurable improvement, alternating between live demonstrations and hands-on guided shooting so you can master reproducible workflows in a practical, engaging environment. **ABOUT KASH** Born and raised in New York City, Kash has spent the last **18 years mastering the art of photography**. Starting at 19, she built her reputation on the streets of SoHo, turning brief encounters with strangers into cinematic street portraits. After nearly two decades of shooting, she has transitioned her deep understanding of light from the unpredictable streets to the controlled environment of the studio. Specializing in creative lighting and technical mastery, Kash uses her 18 years of expertise to show you exactly how to manipulate light to create mood, depth, and professional-grade imagery. **MEET MODELS** We went all-in on dancer models — all three have serious dance training, which honestly changes the whole vibe of a shoot. They give you movement, real shapes, and that kind of energy you can actually capture. You'll shoot with all three during Hour 3, the rain room finale, with Tony and Kash directing. * **Ava - [@ava_namar](https://www.instagram.com/ava_namar/)** * **Kyla -[@kk.lockhart](https://www.instagram.com/kk.lockhart/?hl=en)** * **Maddie -[@maddie_pivonka](https://www.instagram.com/maddie_pivonka/)** **WHO THIS IS FOR** **Beginner to intermediate photographers** ready to level up their studio lighting and creative direction. You should already own a camera and a lens you're comfortable shooting with. An understanding of manual mode helps, but isn't required. **WHAT TO BRING** * Your camera and zoom or prime lenses, anywhere in the range of 24mm to 120mm full-frame equivalent * A fully-charged battery and memory card with at least 32GB free * If you already have one, a Godox or Flashpoint flash trigger (we'll loan you one if you don't have one) * A notepad or phone for capturing setup details * Comfortable shoes — you'll be moving between three studios, and you might be splashed in the rain room **Limited to 20 attendees.
