Coming Back to Yourself: Clothing Swap, Meditation, & Sound Bath
Sun, Aug 23, 8:00 PMWhat if getting dressed became a way of coming back to yourself? An intimate gathering for women. Every day, we make countless decisions about what to wear—often without realizing how much those choices are influenced by trends, expectations, or the version of ourselves we think we're supposed to be. Together, we'll begin with a community clothing swap, where you'll be invited to explore the pieces that naturally draw you in. Along the way, we'll weave in gentle prompts to help you notice what you're reaching for—and why. From there, you'll be guided through an Energetic & Somatic Fashion Meditation using the garment you've chosen. Accompanied by the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls, you'll explore the deeper relationship between what you wear, how you feel, and what your nervous system is naturally seeking. Is it the color that awakens your creativity? The silhouette that helps you feel expansive? The texture that allows your body to soften and settle? What part of you recognized something in that garment before your mind had words for it? This experience is an invitation to dress with greater intention. Together, we'll explore how clothing can become a reflection of what genuinely inspires us, what helps us feel most alive, and what allows us to move through the world feeling more connected to who we are. Because when we begin dressing from a place of authenticity instead of expectation, getting dressed becomes less about fitting in and more about coming home to ourselves. It's also an opportunity to gather with other women—to share stories, support one another, and experience the joy of giving beautiful clothing a second life. There is something powerful about discovering ourselves in community and realizing we don't have to navigate this journey alone. You may leave with something new in your hands, but my hope is that you'll also leave with a new relationship to getting dressed. What to Bring At least one item of clothing to swap (the more, the merrier!) Clothing, shoes, or accessories that are clean and in good condition A journal and pen (optional, but encouraged) An open heart 🤍 All swap items are welcome—tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories, and shoes. Please bring pieces that are clean and in good condition. Any unclaimed items will be thoughtfully donated. Your Hosts Faith Perrin is the founder of MAHA Studio, a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, and a somatic and energetic fashion stylist. With over six years of experience in trauma-informed care and meditation facilitation, Faith works at the intersection of nervous system regulation, embodiment, and personal style—helping women understand not just what they wear, but why, and what it reveals about who they are becoming. Learn more at mahastudio.co Freya has spent 17 years working with the body as a massage therapist and energy worker. Her offerings are rooted in helping people come home to themselves. As a dancer, Freya has come to know the body as something that moves, speaks, and expresses long before words do. This knowing shapes how she approaches everything else she offers, always circling back to one question: how do we listen to the body and let it speak? That inquiry has extended naturally into adornment and personal style. Clothing is another language for what the body wants to express. Space is intentionally limited to keep this gathering intimate. Reserve your spot early. This is a women's gathering

Summer 2026: Let's walk across or around a country
Wed, Sep 2, 2:00 AMThis is a trial balloon to see if there are adventurous people out there who'd like to walk across or around a country in 2025. Yes, walk across or around a whole country. There are several such paths of about 100 or 200 miles that can be walked in a week or two. For instance, the Coast to Coast path in England, Hadrian's Wall, Offa's Dyke, the Isle of Man Coastal Path, the Wexford-Pembrokeshire Pilgrim Way, etc etc. Some have inns to stay the night, others might involve stealth camping. Some have more elevation gain and tougher terrain than others, but this isn't like climbing 14ers. It might be possible to bike parts of some routes. The walking could be combined with other \*optional\* activities: \- going to football matches\.\.\. \- drinking beer and eating so much fish and chips we need a mercury detox\.\.\. \- almost getting arrested for lèse\-majesté\.\.\. OK, those are what I'll be doing. You can choose your own activities. The specifics for all this are open, I'm just trying to gauge interest. Note that I'm posting this to multiple groups so more might RSVP than are shown here. If the idea of walking across a country or similar appeals to you, RSVP and we'll decide from there.
