🌿🚶 LEASIDE SPUR TRAIL, WILKET CREEK & EDWARDS GARDENS WALK (10KM) 🚶🌿 Forest Trails, Flowing Creeks & A Spring Garden Pause Some of the best parts of Toronto don’t feel like the city at all. Join us for a longer, energizing social walk through some of the city’s most scenic green spaces — from quiet trails to winding creeks, with a beautiful stop at the gardens along the way. We’ll explore the Leaside Spur Trail, connect into the peaceful paths of Wilket Creek Park, and make our way toward Edwards Gardens — where you’ll have time to wander, take in the seasonal blooms, and enjoy a little moment of calm in the middle of the walk. This is not a formal tour. It’s a social, active walk with great scenery and even better company. 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** \*\*\* 🚶‍♂️ What We’ll Do We’ll begin at McDonald’s and head onto the Leaside Spur Trail, easing into the walk before connecting with Wilket Creek’s forested paths. From there, we’ll continue toward Sunnybrook Park and into Edwards Gardens, where we’ll take a relaxed break so you can explore, enjoy the flowers, and recharge. After our stop, we’ll loop back along the trails, returning to our starting point. Once we’re back, those who want can grab an ice cream at D Spot Desserts for a well-earned creamy dessert. 🥪 No pressure to join — totally optional. \*\*\* 🌦️ Weather & Expectations This walk will happen in typical Toronto conditions — including cold, light rian, or damp trails. Please come prepared for a full 10KM walk with some hills. Good footwear is essential. . Also — this is NOT a guided or historical tour. I’ll share bits along the way, but the focus is on movement, nature, and connection. \*\*\* 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 Meetup Location: Outside McDonald’s 🫎 I’ll be wearing my Moose Hat ⏰ Meetup Time: 11:00 AM I will only wait 5 minutes. Early is on time. On time is late. We’ll begin promptly and won’t be able to track late arrivals — thank you for understanding. End point: Back at McDonald’s \*\*\* 🎟️ Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or e-transfer to 📧 \*\*[mathewmaclean@hotmail.com**](http://mathewmaclean@hotmail.com%2A%2A/) This helps support the group and allows us to keep hosting events like this. Optional: cash/card if joining for lunch Please also use the washroom before arriving, as stops are limited. \*\*\* 🌈 Who Is This For? # 🌿🚶‍♂️ YORK BELTLINE TRAIL & BRUNCH 🍻🌿 **A Hidden Urban Trail, Easy Walking & A Relaxing Summer Sunday** Looking for an easy way to get outside after work? Join us for a summer walk along the York Beltline Trail, one of Toronto's hidden green corridors. Built on the route of the historic Belt Line Railway, this peaceful trail offers a surprising escape from the city, with mature trees, birdsong, and plenty of shade—all just steps from the subway. This is an easy, mostly flat walk with no major hills, making it perfect for anyone who wants to stretch their legs, enjoy some fresh air, and meet new people. After our walk, we'll head over to **The Bull: A Firkin Pub** for brunch and a chance to relax, chat, and get to know one another. After all, the walk is just the beginning—the conversations afterward are where friendships often start. 📲 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE!](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 🚶‍♂️ What We'll Do We'll spend about **90 minutes** walking the York Beltline Trail at a comfortable social pace. Along the way we'll enjoy one of Toronto's lesser-known walking trails, share some conversation, and unwind after the workday. When we finish, anyone who would like to is welcome to join us for brunch at **The Bull: A Firkin Pub**. You're also welcome to head home after the walk if you prefer. *** ## ☀️ Weather & Expectations This walk happens rain or shine unless severe weather makes it unsafe. The trail is mostly flat and suitable for most fitness levels. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water if it's a warm evening. This is a **social walk**, not a guided historical tour. I'll share a little history about the Beltline along the way, but the focus is on enjoying the evening together. *** ## 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 **Meetup Location:** Outside **Caledonia Station (there is only one exit)** 🫎 I'll be wearing my Moose Hat. ⏰ **Meetup Time:** **11:00 AM** I will only wait **5 minutes.** Early is on time.
