Harz Day Trip: Devil's Wall and Witches Mountain

*Journey to the Harz Mountain region, hike along some of the most impressive rock formations, and walk through the magical woodlands, which, according to mythology, are the home of witches and the devil.* Hike Distance: 15km Difficulty: Intermediate Starting in the historical town and UNESCO World Heritage site Quedlinburg, the 15km hikes along the riverfront, alongside the impressive Teufelsmauer (Devil's Wall) - a bizarre, jagged, 20-kilometer-long rock formation - and to the centre of the region, Thale. At Thale, we will scale the local mountain with a cable car and descend on foot through the haunted forests. The Harz region can be reached daily using the Harz Express, a direct train that takes us to and from the region. From here, we will take a steady-paced hike through the region, engaging in nature and looking at the region's beauty. Hiking from Quedlinburg to Thale along the Teufelsmauer (Devil's Wall) is one of the most rewarding point-to-point hikes in the Harz foothills, as it perfectly pairs Quedlinburg's fairy-tale streets with Thale's rugged gorge scenery, using the most spectacular, dramatic stretch of the ancient sandstone ridge as its highway. The final stretch of the hike takes us down the Hexenstieg, a route famed for its witch monuments, history, and legacy, made famous by the Brothers Grimm. Wernigerode 🏰🏰: the amazing town of Sachsen-Anhalt (from Berlin)

Wernigerode is full of old charming buildings 🏰🏘️ (you can find the photos online, on Google Maps, for example), and a Castle above the town. We take the HBX train that departs from Gesundbrunnen at 07,02 AM, direction Goslar 🚉😀 and arrives to Wernigerode at 10,17 AM. The train is takeable with the Deutschland Ticket. The train stops in other stations too, get on where is more convenient for you (use the DB app to check). During the day we would gain around 1400 meters. * **Day 2 (Hike distance <10 km)** – After the early breakfast at the hut, we would start our hike to summit. Whether you've never exercised before or you're looking for a new challenge, this class is designed to help you build strength and confidence at your own pace. Hi, I'm Maroof 👋 I've been practicing calisthenics for over six years and one of the things I love most about it is that it brings people together. Watching people achieve movements they never thought possible, whether it's their first push-up, their first pull-up or their first handstand, is incredibly rewarding. What to expect Each session includes a guided warm-up, beginner-friendly strength exercises using your bodyweight, progressions for pushing, pulling, squatting and core strength, optional introductions to calisthenics skills as you progress and a fun team game at the end (with a small prize for the winners 😁) Every exercise has easier and harder variations so you can work at a level that suits you. There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else. Psychedelic Forest Hike

Hey Psychedelic Fans! This time we're going for a different, more active format. Few things belong together like psychedelics and nature — so this month we're wandering into the Grunewald. We meet at **11:00 at S Grunewald** and head into the woods together — we set off at 11:15 sharp. Picnic break in the shade around lunchtime, then down to the Havel, where the meetup ends around 16:00. The goal is to reconnect with the earth under our feet, the air that we breathe and all the beings we share it with. Bring drinks, snacks, something to sit on (the forest floor is very sandy) and whatever else you need.
