Join us in Richmond Park during rutting season to capture some dramatic photography whilst it is rutting season. There are a variety of wildlife to photograph including the majestic Red and Fallow deer. We will also be on the lookout for other wildlife subjects including brightly coloured ring-necked parakeets and green woodpeckers. LET'S GO SEE THE BABY SEALS! Norfolk is THE Best place where you can see Baby Seals in the UK. November to February is the peak of the season when the beaches between Horsey and Winterton are home to some 5000 seals. Norfolk holds the world's two largest Atlantic grey seals colonies and I am taking you there. You will be able to observe at often just a couple of meters away the seals who come to these sandy beaches every year to give birth to those gorgeous white furry creatures. We will be able to observe seals of different ages. From the tiny few hours old white pups, to the full fat adolescents and up to the big males who weigh hundreds of kilos and who will be fighting a bit further down on the sand. Volunteers will be there to answer all our questions and to keep us from getting too close to those beautiful creatures, often unsuccessfully as those cubs being of a curious nature will approach us often far too close to inspect us. The seals will be the highlight of our trip but this will certainly not be all to see. We will hike the dunes of the Broads nature reserve and visit the stunning surrounding villages. We will hike around 7 miles, 4 miles will be right next to these absolutely gorgeous creatures, that will be your choice, they will be all over the place. Be prepared to take an alternative route for a few minutes if the mothers and pubs make their way to the path. They usually stay on the beach but the recent storm have driven them in the dunes and on the path meaning that, if you get too close, you better get ready to run cause mummies protect their pups. Babies will be wandering alone around us, they will come towards you but please, please, I cannot stress enough, do not touch them and step back as the mother will abandon them if you do. **Important INFORMATION:** **HIKE DISTANCE:** 6-7 miles Approx. **DIFFICULTY**: Easy and mostly Flat. **Costs:** £61 Pay on the day. £1 deposit payment for seat reservation must be paid in Advance to guarantee your seat reservation. Our day will start in Petersfield - an ancient market town founded in the early 12th century which became a horse coaching centre on the main London to Portsmouth route. We'll then head to Buriton, a lovely historic village just south of Peterfield. From there we will start heading up onto the South Downs Way and then down to South Harting, which sits at the foot of the beautiful South Downs. It is home to one of the major landmarks in the Rother Valley - St Mary and Gabriel Church. This will be our lunch stop at a quaint old pub. We'll be walking off our lunch with a steep climb up onto Harting Down - a stunning 360-degree viewpoint where the higher ground of West Harting Down provides significant views out to the Solent and the Isle of Wight should we have fine weather. Cutty Sark & Greenwich Park social gathering

Clifton Nurseries, & lovely walk along the Regents Canal to Kings Cross.

This a new walk, and is well worth doing, and is 6 miles approximately. We will meet at 11.00 am, for a hot drink at the cafe in Clifton Nurseries near Warwick Avenue Undeground Station. (This is a lovely Garden Centre and well worth visiting.} After our hot drink at 11.20 am, we will walk along The Regents Canal and to The Ice Wharf for a lunch {or bring our own}. With Camden Town Underground less than 10 minutes away. For those that would like to walk further, we can walk to Kings Cross and have a drink in The Parcel Yard in the station. £ 7 meetup fee required {please have the right change}.
