Read in the Park: 6th Meetup

Read in the Park: 6th Meetup

Sat, Jun 27, 9:00 PM
From San Francisco Reading in the Park Group
4.8

**Read in the Park – SF (Mothers Meadow)** Register on the Luma event to receive all the event reminders and calendar invite - [https://luma.com/0ymovy7x](https://luma.com/0ymovy7x) Grab your book, a blanket, and come read with us in Golden Gate Park 📚 Read in the Park is a laid-back, in-person gathering for people who love books and good company. No agenda, no book club assigned reading, just show up with whatever you're currently reading and spend a couple of hours outside with like-minded people. **What to bring:** → Your current read - physical book, Kindle, or audiobook → A blanket or something to sit on → A jacket! SF weather is unpredictable and Golden Gate Park can get windy → Snacks if you want **What should I expect?** 2:00-2:30 PM → Registration, find a good spot, get settled 2:30-3:30 PM → We read! 3:30-4:30 PM → Conversations - get to know each other, share what you're reading or listening to, swap book recommendations, and chat about genres you love (moderated by local hosts and moderators) 4:30 PM → Wrap up, linger, make new friends **Who's invited?** Anyone who loves books, being outside, and meeting good people. Lots of folks came solo to our first event, don't be shy, you'll fit right in! **Where exactly do we meet?** Mothers Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Look for us towards the top of the slope, near the treeline, and furthest away from the children's playground. If you're not sure, just look for the group of people with blankets and books! We'll also share a more specific pin closer to the date. **What about parking?** Golden Gate Park on a Saturday can get busy! We recommend arriving by 1:30-1:45 PM if you're driving. Free street parking is available in the area but spots fill up fast. Public transit is also a great option. **Will this event be photographed?** Photos and short video clips may be taken for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to being photographed. If you'd prefer not to be in photos, just let us know when you arrive and we'll make sure to respect that! 🙏

They offer both lighter pastry options as well as full meals perfect for brunch, and of course coffee and tea. *How to Get There:* Bus: next to stops for the 12 route. 2 blocks from the 688 route. 10-12 min walk (0.5 miles) from the 79 and 52 routes. Coffee Talk at The Crown (Oakland)

Coffee Talk at The Crown (Oakland)

Sat, Jun 27, 4:30 PM
From East Bay Coffee Enthusiasts

Any coffee enthusiast living the the Bay Area should know The Crown! They train baristas and are one of the only places in the Bay that train Q-graders (coffee equivalent of a sommeliers). As they are coffee importers, their beans are always super fresh and super tasty. I figured this would be a fun shop to hold the first event at. Come grab a coffee flight, bring what you're drinking that you're really digging, and, most importantly, come ready to hang out with some fellow coffee enthusiasts! Anyone is welcome. Cheers!
