Hey friends, please join us for our Meet and Geek at Pixel! We run this event every four weeks and it's a great opportunity to meet new people, play some games, and have some fun. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Looking forward to seeing you all there! * **About the event:** Perfect if you're a solo gamer looking to make friends, or if you've never been to a Meet Up before! It's a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where you can comfortably meet people and play games socially. There's a variety of games and player experience at all levels. * **Bring your own favourite game(s)!** There is a great selection of games provided by Pixel, but we encourage people to bring their own as well! If you don't have any, no dramas! Just join a table and learn a new game with help from our friendly community. * **Starting at 7pm and ending about 10pm** at Pixel Bar and Cafe. They have kindly let us use their space, so please show your support to this great venue by buying a drink or two (non-alcoholic options available!). If you're in need of a bite, you can order food to the venue too! * **Getting there:** Pixel Bar is opposite Huntingdale station, so there's trains, buses, and plenty of car parks! * **Regarding the Waitlist:** Please remove yourself from attending if you are unable to make the event. Join your fellow LGBTQIA+ folks for a social evening of board games at Marché Board Games Cafe. We have access to the games library at the cafe. If you have a game that you want to share, please feel free to bring it along. We play all sorts of games - card games, party games, strategy games - and we're happy to teach new players. Groups for games usually form between 6:30-6:45, so it's important to try arrive on time to ensure you're allocated to a game/group. Anyone arriving late may have to wait for a game if all groups have started. The cafe has drinks and food available. Social Chess Meetup - Wednesday October 14

Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced players – there’ll always be someone to challenge. Whether you're looking for a short, light game or a longer strategy-heavy game, come join the Melbourne Asian Board Gamers on Tuesday night at Marché Board Game Cafe for some fun! To **check in**, please head to the front counter and show your RSVP for the Meetup event to a Marché staff member. They will then point you towards the event host for the evening to take down your attendance. **⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆ Cost ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆** Attendees who have registered for the event on Meetup can play at discounted rates, with the following payments to be made: * **$7 in total per session” to cover Meetup subscription and cafe costs. Payment of $7 should be made to Marche at the front counter upon notification to the staff member that you are here for the scheduled meetup. I wanted to see what Pixel Bar is like, but they don't do food, and I wouldn't mind getting some food first. This Malaysian place just up the road looks good. They have Board games at Pixel Bar - good ones. I have no idea how busy it gets or how much room they have, so I'm just going to play it by ear.

Board Game Social Hangout - NeuroSparks x NeuroDisco Collab!

Hi all, us at NeuroSparks and our friends over at NeuroDisco are hosting another monthly board game event! Whether you're new to boardgames, or an experienced player, this could be a great way to meet like-minded people and have some fun too. **The venue:** Drop in at Gameology from 12PM onwards, there will be a wide range of board games for you to grab and play, but you can also bring a board game from home if you'd like. Gameology is also a games store, so feel free to browse what they have available or chat to the friendly staff for help or questions at any time. The board games room where we’ll be hanging out in is on the left as you enter the store. It also has a limited drink selection, however you’re free to bring food from outside to enjoy in between playing. The cafe across the road called Lux Foundry, or Ima Pantry around the corner are particularly good! But please be mindful of avoiding getting either the venue's or other attendee's games dirty. Each month Gameology collects donations for a different charity. Since they very kindly let us borrow their space, if you attend this event it would be appreciated if you could make a gold coin donation. While a donation is not compulsory, it is greatly appreciated in getting a little more community love and support. **Location:** There is very limited parking at the front of the store as well as in the surrounding area. However, the venue is close to public transport. The closest train station is Anstey station on the Upfield lane and the number 19 tram on Sydney road. There is also the number 508/509 bus line, with the closest stop being on the corner of Sydney road and Blyth street. The venue will also be closing at 5. We'd love to see you all there and if the event goes well this could possibly become a regular event! **PS:** If you have any questions about this event, feel free to message either myself or Ki.
