Hello fellow gamers! Sunny Saturdays are the best days for a multi-hour RPG or a friendship ruining card game! Sip on fresh brew and nibble on your favorite morning pastry while the sun’s rays reveal the path to undeniable victory! This event is for those who never needed a screen to game. Bring your favorite board game or card game and we’ll bring ours with the coffee and dairy-free creamer. The host will be providing various games like: Rivals of Catan, Taco-Cat-Goat-Cheese-Pizza, Cards Against Humanity, Side Effects, Pictionary, and more! In addition to snacks, participants are encouraged to bring their favorite games to share! Anyone who brings a game to share with guests is encouraged to establish their own rules for the safe handling of their items and all guests are expected to respect and abide by those rules. **RSVP Policy:** 15-participant maximum. No admission fee, donations appreciated. One guest is allowed per RSVP. Roll Call Referrals - 9.26.26 Board Game Meet-Up (Saturday)

Networking that feels more like game night. **$8 due to Geeky Teas upon entry. (Not to this meetup group).** A more intimate networking experience that focuses on getting to know each other. Join us for a relaxed, game-filled networking event where real conversations and meaningful connections come first. Share your story, grow your network, and support the hustle. (3:30pm - 6:30pm) Session 1, Early Birds. Mostly chatter and getting to know each other plus light games. (6:30pm - 8:30pm) Dinner break. (8:30pm - 11:30pm) Session 2, Night Owls, sometimes able to playtest games from developers. **There's also no need to bring your own games.** The $8 goes towards a fairly large game library. Since this is a networking event, the games should be lighter in weight as well anyways. Think easy to learn pick up games where we don't strategize as much. *Please let me know if you want to play something specific and I'll see if we can make it work.*

Hey party people! Come hit up Paper Hero's for a chill afternoon of board games with East Valley Board Games. Also, BUNDLE UP, as it can get quite chilly in our corner of the store. Layers are good. The gaming details: Attendance: This is a drop-in event, so you don’t have to stay the whole time. Come for an hour, come for two hours, show up late, leave early. As long as you clean up any mess that you leave, you're good with us and the wonderful store runners, Andrew and Zoey. NOTE: It is advisable that the best way to get in on a game without waiting is to come at the beginning of the event at 2pm. Otherwise you might have to wait for a game to end and another to begin. Parking: Paper Heroes is located in a strip mall on the northwest corner of Burbank Blvd. and Hazeltine Ave. in Sherman Oaks. No, we don't know why Meetup lists the city as Los Angeles and not Sherman Oaks. There are a few parking spaces in the small shopping center, and we would suggest looking for street parking as well. Since it's Sunday, meters will be free. **Important note: It's been brought to our attention that there are a few 1 hour parking signs around the venue, so as always, check parking signs carefully so you don't get a visit from a parking fairy.** We have had good luck parking on the east side of Hazeltine, just south of Burbank. Food: Outside food and drink is allowed in. We just ask as always that you are careful so as not to spill. There's a coffee shop next door, Nat's Early Bite, which is open until 3pm. Just please be careful and don’t spill food or drink on games, or you’ll be expected to replace them, which we think is a fair policy. Also, there are some game mats placed on some tables around the stores with signs asking patrons to not place food or drink on top of them. PLEASE RESPECT THIS RULE. Don't be a jerk. Guests: Guests are great! Just be sure to note it in your RSVP, and if your guests' plans change, please update your RSVP. 12th Annual Creepy Halloween Gaming and Costume Contest!

East Valley Board Games is super excited about our 12th *annual Halloween event! (*Our numbers are off bc we had to skip a year because of Covid, blah blah blah.) We will have board games, candy, and a costume contest! We'll have a prize for our 1st place favorite costume. If this all sounds creepily cool in the ghastliest of ways, get your bony behinds down to Paper Hero's for some Halloween gaming. Andrew and the PH crew are once again graciously opening their doors to us for gaming! Costume Contest---Our Halloween gaming event is from 2pm to 6pm and as we always say, drop in whenever. However, if you plan to participate in the costume contest, you will need to be in our room at 4pm for voting. We will be announcing the top 3 vote-getters around 4:15. Anyone who attends the Halloween gaming event can vote on the winners. You don't have to come in costume, but we STRONGLY encourage it, because um, FUN. We've had some really fun costumes, like The Word Thief, Marty McFly, a Ceiling Fan, Gru from Despicable Me, Steampunk Wonder Woman, a Butterfly, Indiana Jones, Columbo, a homemade Scrabble board complete with moveable pieces, and so on.
