Talks will start promptly at 6:00 PM. **On the Agenda:** A working session on how AI agents are actually built, taught as a class rather than a guided lab. Most agent tutorials hand you a framework and a happy path. This one goes underneath. We cover what a language model actually is and what that means for system design, why context is the whole game, how tool use differs from classic RAG, how semantic search and chunking really work, and what separates a true agent from a chatbot with tools. If you have used Cortex Agents or ADK without knowing what a skill is under the hood or what the framework is doing on your behalf, this session is for you. The second half applies it. We design a pipeline failure triage agent live, on the board, in the room. The nightly load ran green, the row counts are wrong, and nobody is awake. That last constraint breaks the usual human-in-the-loop pattern and forces some genuinely interesting decisions about approval, memory and trust.
