Sketchbook: Alexandra Palace

Let's sketch Alexandra Palace! Bit of a schlep to the outskirts of town this one but totally worth it for the views of the city and the utterly stunning venue that is Ally Pally! Meet outside the main entrance in the car park. Nearest Train Station: Alexandra Palace Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend! Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Look for the tall ginger fella sketching away as the central meetup spot, but feel free to roam as far and wide as you like and sketch anything you damn well please! Please bring your own sketchbooks and pens/pencils. The plan will be to meet at 1pm, sketch for a couple of hours and meet back and chat at 3pm. Sketchbook: Embankment Gardens

Lets sketch the beautiful sculpture and tulip gardens by Embankment. Some excellent views of the London Eye and South Bank here too! Let's meet outside the entrance to Embankment station at 11.00 and its a short walk in either direction for some lovely gardens. I'll wait for a bit for any stragglers and then we can all meet again at the same spot at 13.00 and compare sketches afterwards, hopefully the weather will be lovely! Lets sketch the Banksy Statue on Waterloo place near Whitehall! It might not be up by then but if not theres tonnes of cool memorials and statues around there to sketch instead. Win win! Summer Sketching at Battersea Park

Join us for a Sunday afternoon in June ☀️ ✨✍️ Welcome 🥾✨ This event is suitable for all, from total beginners to experienced artists. It is a welcoming space to ask others with help on composition, perspective and shading. Please bring your own sketchbook and materials of your choice - from pencils, biros and markers to charcoal, pastels and paints. Feel free to bring your own food and drink. We could also check out the local cafés ☕️ 🪷🦜About Battersea Park 🦜🪷 This 200 acre Victorian park, is considered one of London’s finest parks! It was built between 1854 and 1870 and sits on the banks of the Thames of South West London. Let’s explore the riverside promenade, large lake, many notable trees and ecological areas! 🚂 Getting here 🚌 Let’s meet at Chelsea Gate, which is located on Queenstown Road, just south of Chelsea Bridge. The closest overground train stations are Battersea Park Station and Queenstown Road Station. Both have a short walk. Sloane Square is the nearest underground station. From the station, walk down Lower Sloane Street and Chelsea Bridge Road, or take a 137 bus. Bus numbers 44, 452 and 137 alight at the Chelsea Gate bus stop.

Fancy a drawing class that doesn’t bore you to death? Want to learn how to do art? Join us for our amazing Drink & Draw class in Balham with our brilliant community and real-life artist! Sip on a FREE beverage as you learn some new skills, chat with some fun people and make drawings you’ll be proud of. **What If I’m Shit At Drawing?** Then you should have signed up 10 minutes ago! Trust me, everyone can draw, you’ve just never been shown how. These classes are beginner-friendly and super inclusive so you’ll feel right at home (even if you’re s\*\*\*\*\*\*g a brick slightly about being the ‘newbie’). **When?** This class takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 7 pm-8:30 pm (except Jan & Feb). **What's Included?** * All materials * A brilliant instructor * A free drink **What Will I Learn?** You’ll look at different techniques each month and make masterpieces that look like a professional drew it!
