**>>>FOR THOSE THAT ARE BACKPACKING, MEET AT THE TRAILHEAD AT 8AM<<<** **Camp overnight on a peaceful mountaintop, at 7,100’ elevation.** **The campground is FREE, with picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets.** **There is no water at the campground.** **Drive up to Mill Creek Summit Picnic Area off Angeles Forest Hwy.** **GOOGLE FOR DIRECTIONS** **Adventure Pass is required at the campground.** **If backpacking, Adventure Pass not required if you park directly across the highway from the Mill Creek sign.** **\>\>HIKE/BACKPACK:** **Meet at 8am at the trailhead.** **PCT trailhead leading up to the campground is next to the Mill Creek sign.** **It’s a 6 mile hike on the PCT up to the campground, approx 2,000’ gain.** **No need to carry extra water, we’ll have plenty of water for you.** **\>\>DRIVE/CARPACK/BIKE/BIKEPACK:** **Start anytime.** **Use the fire road just past the fire station.** **It’s 6 miles on the dirt fire road.** **High clearance vehicles recommended during the last mile to the campground.** **Outbacks and RAV4’s are fine.** **CAMP RULES: No politics, no drama, no hard drugs, no spitting** **If you have any questions please comment below. EARLY Fryman Canyon, Studio City - Rainforest & the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook

It's time to get outdoors and enjoy a 2 hour hike in Studio City! Please keep your RSVP up to date. But if you can't make it, don't worry, I'm not taking attendance. But if you are on the list and are running just a little late (no more 5 minutes, we'll wait for you, if I get the message.) My number is (818) 644-5859. 3453 Fryman Road (corner of Laurel Canyon and Fryman) MEET AT THE KIOSK IN FRONT. It is right at the beginning of the trailhead. There is a free parking along Laurel Canyon. The County is charging $7.00 to $14.00 to park in the lot. You may want to have the correct amount of cash to use the "Iron Ranger". There is the ubiquitous electronic ticket machine that we've all become used to by now. Or, come early and park on Laurel Canyon (watch for the fire hydrants) or park on Sunshine Terrace. People are coming and going so drive carefully and give yourself plenty of time to find a place. Post a message if you are running late. The parking lot has been filling up in the morning. Try arriving 15 minutes early. The first part of the hike is an uphill climb and considered "intermediate". The rest is a gentle uphill slope. There are wide paths and plenty of room for leashed dogs. The TreePeople have opened their bathrooms and there are drinking fountains for humans and dogs. Bring water, sun protection and hiking shoes, or running shoes. The dirt road and trail can be dusty and slippery. Keep that in mind. "Yes" you can trip and or slip. More info about the park: https://mrca.ca.gov/parks/park-listing/wilacre-park/ We visit TreePeople Park. It is a fascinating spot and while we are there we just do a little exploring. There is a short walk in a secluded section of TreePeople Park which is just beautiful and relaxing. Depending on the mood of the hikers we may extend the hike to take in the Rain Forest or continue on to the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook on Mulholland. This could extend the hike to 6 or 9 miles. New in town? New to the Santa Monica Mountains? New to hiking? This is a good place to begin to immerse yourself into Los Angeles.

Waterskiing/Wakeboarding at the Sacramento Delta: September 24-27

Greetings All, We will be heading to the Sacramento River Delta. It is a great place to wakeboard, waterski, sky-ski and camp. Century City Ski Club has been going to this location for well over 30 years. This years dates are: June 25-28 July 16-19 August 13-16 September 24-27 You can arrive on the Wednesday afternoon before the trip to setup camp. We will not be supplying anything on Wednesday. The actual trip starts on Thursday morning with Breakfast. The trip ends on Sunday around 11 or 12 in the afternoon. Please help wash and wipe down the boats when they are pulled out of the water. These are 2, 3 or 4 day trips. The costs are: $175 for Saturday-Sunday, $349 Friday-Sunday or $439 Thursday-Sunday If you just want to camp and eat with us, the costs are half of the above prices. Please contact us for more info. We accept Zelle (preferred), Venmo, Checks and Cash. There is an extra fee for campers (RV's $35 per day) and pets ($4 per day). Email us for pricing. Lunch is on your own (if we have on Friday and Saturday leftovers you can indulge in, but ask before taking), there is a café near the camp site. We do not supply vests, skis, wake-boards or sky ski's.... BUT... we do have extras, so ask if you don't have any we will try and help. We supply the boat(s). You'll need a tent or RV or Trailer (added fee for parking RV and Trailer) or any other kind of sleeping arrangement (car camping). Please contact us for more info. Please remember to bring lots of sunscreen, a hat and towels. The weather can change from cold to hot and hot to cold in minutes, so bring something to keep warm just in case. A Hike to the Magic Tree Above Sullivan Canyon

**We meet at 8:20 AM and leave at 8:30 sharp.** A six mile hike. Street parking. But you must read the signs. There are restrictions. A dog-friendly hike. DIRECTIONS: (In case your GPS fails you) We are going to Manderville Canyon. Turn on Manderville Canyon Road off of Sunset Blvd. Go left at Westridge Road. Go left at Bayliss Road. (This is where you will most likely park) Walk to Queensferry Road (Good luck finding parking here) WHAT TO BRING: Water Hiking shoes Good mood WHERE: We will meet near the trailhead on Queensferry Road (which is a short one-block street). The house we will be standing in front of is at 2103 Queensferry Road.
