Haunted Hike Through Walhalla Ravine

**Dare to Enter Walhalla Ravine?** There are places in Columbus where the city seems to disappear. Walk far enough into **Walhalla Ravine**, beneath the old trees and steep wooded hillsides, and the traffic grows distant. The houses above become harder to see. The path narrows, shadows gather beneath the canopy, and suddenly it becomes very easy to understand why people have been telling strange stories about this place for generations. Stories of **murder, apparitions beneath the bridge, unexplained lights, and the thing once whispered about as the Walhalla Witch** have become part of Clintonville folklore. Most have been embellished over the years. Some can be debunked. Others are simply stories with no way left to determine where the truth ended and the legend began. Visit A.P.E.S. Primate Sanctuary, then hang out at NACHOFEST!

Meet at the American Primate Educational Sanctuary (A.P.E.S.), 8380 Kennedy Rd. Blacklick. A.P.E.S., the American Primate Educational Sanctuary, is a non-profit organization that cares for eight White-Handed Gibbons. Located in Blacklick, they house primates that were previously kept as household pets. They are committed to be protectors, conservationists, caregivers and educators for all primates, especially the Capuchin monkey and the endangered White-Handed Gibbon. When finished at A.P.E.S., we will head on over to Edison Brewery, 785 Science Blvd, Gahanna, for NACHOFEST for an afternoon of live music, community, and a celebration of the NACHO community (stay as long as you'd like; it's open until 6 pm). There are bands playing throughout the event, including the TBDBITL Alumni Band, Clintonville Community Jazz Band, NACHO Saxadillas, Cap City Funk, and the NACHO Street Band\*. The Taquitos Food Truck will be there. \*The NACHO Street Band is made up of Nationwide Children’s Hospital staff, family, and friends working to raise awareness and money for the hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio. Free to attend and donations can be made to the campaign for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Every dollar donated means 2 1/2 meals for those in need. Oscar Season Kickoff: DIGGER at the Drexel Theatre!

Join us for an Oscar Watch film as we get together to see the satirical-dark-comedy, DIGGER! The film is written/directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and stars Tom Cruise as the world’s most powerful man as he tries to save the world from the disaster he created. Here’s a description, trailer and our plan for this event: DESCRIPTION: The most powerful man in the world embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity's savior before the disaster he unleashed destroys everything. The film is directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Babel, Biutiful, Birdman, The Revenant) and stars Tom Cruise, Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg and Jesse Plemons. Saturday Ruck + Coffee for Men 40+

**We're getting a small group of men 40 plus together for a relaxed Saturday Ruck and coffee.** Nothing intense. We'll walk about two to three miles at an easy conversational pace. Bring a backpack if you want- add a little weight, add none at all, nobody cares. The point is simple; move around, meet some good guys, probably look a little ridiculous at some point, then grab coffee afterward. A lot of men hit their 40s and 50s and realize they don't really have a tribe anymore. Friends moved away, careers took over, family's got busy, and somewhere along the line the social side of life got smaller. This is about changing that. No networking. No therapy. No seminar. No sales pitch. Just good guys who want to stay active, meet people, and do more with the next chapter of Life. **Plan:** Meet at 9:00 a.m. Start walking a few minutes after that Ruck/walk about 45 to 60 minutes Coffee immediately afterward. We'll all walk over together. Come alone if you like. Most people probably will. You do not need to be in great shape. If you can comfortably walk for an hour, you're good.

Tour Rumple Recycling Center, take a walk, and dine at Scotty's Cafe!

This will be a very cool event! We will start with a tour of the Rumpke Recycling & Resource Center, the largest and most technically advanced recycling center in North America. The tour starts at 9 am so plan on arriving a few minutes early so our group can convene. There may be a few other people on our tour, which lasts an hour. From there we'll go to Nelson Park, which is about 1.4 miles from Rumpke, has parking and sits directly on Alum Creek Trail (which is paved). We'll walk about 3 miles (out and back) on Alum Creek and then head to Scotty's Cafe for lunch.
