Interested? Contact Preston Moore k.preston.moore@gmail.com 614-300-5989 ———————————— Engaging in men’s work is the new way to forge friendships while being open-minded to personal growth. Many men experience healthier relationships, personally and professionally, by engaging in this work. Open Men’s Group is a container for men to share vulnerably without receiving judgment or feedback. We believe that emotionally mature, powerful, compassionate, and purpose-driven men will help heal some of society’s deepest wounds. We support the powerful brilliance of men and we are willing to look at, and take full responsibility for, the pain we are also capable of creating – and suffering. We care deeply about men, our families, communities, and the planet. Visit ManKind Project USA to discover more. https://mkpusa.org/

Join us as we get together to see the biographical-drama, TONY! The film follows a young Anthony Bourdain and his early years working in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event: DESCRIPTION: The film is set in 1976 where a 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain wants to be a writer. But, when he takes a summer job working for a Brazilian-born restaurateur, it sets a course that will shape the rest of his life. TONY is co-written and directed by Matt Johnson and stars Dominic Sessa (who many of you will remember from 2023’s excellent film The Holdovers) along with Emilia Jones, Dagmara Domińczyk, Rich Sommer, Stavros Halkias, Leo Woodall and Antonio Banderas. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1MVnzd2aVc PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing followed by a long overdue post-show bite at the nearby Rusty Bucket! Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but early arrival is advised! Be sure to mention you are with the Movie Group for admission / concession discounts. Exact showtime and complete details will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer. Should be a good one, Dan

In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health

In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health

Fri, Aug 14, 11:00 PM
From Take Control of Your Mental Health
4.7

Mental Health, how do you understand it? How can you improve it? How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself. Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went? Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence? Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp. This group is hosted by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
