To **check in**, please head to the front counter and show your RSVP for the Meetup event to a Marché staff member. They will then point you towards the event host for the evening to take down your attendance. **⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆ Cost ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆** Attendees who have registered for the event on Meetup can play at discounted rates, with the following payments to be made: * **$7 in total per session” to cover Meetup subscription and cafe costs. Payment of $7 should be made to Marche at the front counter upon notification to the staff member that you are here for the scheduled meetup. There is now no minimum spend on items at the cafe as there were before. The cafes menu can be found here https://mbgcafe.com.au/menu.pdf . Only attendees on the "going" list are entitled to the discount. attendees that are on the waitlist or didn't register on Meetup are still welcome to come, but will need to pay the regular Marche rate of $22 for three hours of board games (includes one free drink). **Attendance** As our events are highly popular, if you have RSVP as going but can no longer attend, please amend your RSVP to allow others a chance to attend. If we notice people are not showing up when they have RSVP, you will be moved to the waitlist the following week and give priority to those who actually turn up. Guided Game Night and Dinner for Beginners Friday D&D - Southbank
Fri, Jul 10, 8:00 AM**Beginner Dungeons & Dragons Night (No Experience Needed + Dinner)** This event is a guided game session for beginners with dinner afterwards. An awesome way to use a Friday Evening with Dinner and Laughs. This night is best for people who love fantasy, games and anime. It's cooperative, creative, and relaxed. Come along, meet others, play and learn, and see whether Dungeons & Dragons is something you'd enjoy. I've worked out a 10% discount for tonight, so it's an awesome opportunity to grab some Vietnamese food and ice coffee while we play. First session is 100% free for new attendees, and serves as an introduction to the game and the Ludos Guild. If your interested in continuing, you'll be able to jump on a Beginner Call with me (Jope) and I'll talk you through the program; the expanded characters you can play, magic items and even connect you with other friendly members of the group (this group is 2yrs old, just this event is new) If you decide it's a good fit, you'll have the opportunity to continue. There's no obligation to continue—you're welcome to simply enjoy your first session and decide afterwards. We don't allow groups to attend these nights, so at most there is a duo coming who already know each other. Everyone and you are super new to this **Will I be the only girl at the event?** No, our events are generally 3:1 ratio, most tables I have seen are 2 girls and 4 guys. no promises on any individual night, but you'll find it doesn't impact your enjoyment **I'm worried I might slow everyone else down?** Not true, pre-filled character sheets take much of the guess work out of learning the game, and the GMs have all taught tens to hundreds of people this game *The only thing you'll want to remember is the "D20", a twenty sided dice is always used to resolve actions, whether it's picking a pocket, striking a wicked goblin or recalling history on a forgotten ruin* *Ok, your basically ready now. seriously* Don't believe me? It's a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where you can comfortably meet people and play games socially.
