Bad Girls Book Club October 2026

**Our October novel is: *The Drowning Kind* by Jennifer McMahon** **This month’s pick leans all the way into dark and creepy. Think ghosts, crime, and a heavy noir vibe—with plenty of suspense and supernatural twists mixed in. The book is 368 pages in print and 11 hours and 48 minutes on audiobook.** Be careful what you wish for. Younkin Branch Library (Ashville) meeting space is now reserved for any and all interested in or enthused by playing a game of chess. The fourth Monday of each month, 6:00pm to 7:50pm. No fees. Chess sets provided; however, you may bring your own if you wish.

The book we will be reading for October is The No-End House by Jeremy Bates. It is free on KindleUnlimited. Book Club will be at the Dublin library meeting room 3. Feel free to come whether or not you’ve finished the book!! Pot Luck at a member's home!

Inspired by our successful events like "Saturday Mornings @ East Market" and other "Pot Luck in the Park" lunches, this gathering promises to be a blend of fun conversations, language exchange, and cultural insights, all while sharing wonderful foods with each other. This time, we will meet at the home of one of our members. Address will be given to those attending prior to the event. **Please bring a dish to share and anything you would like to drink.** We will provide plates, plastic silverware and napkins. Saturday Morning French Club

Bienvenue! We host a twice-a-month French conversation club at La Chatelaine on Lane. All levels welcome! Whether you're new to French or running for Président de la République you are welcome here!
