Yarn club | HEINMA studio Clapham

Wed, Oct 21, 6:00 PM
From Crafty AF social club | HEINMA studio Clapham

We stitch, we yap, and drink tea. Welcome to Yarn Club at HEINMA Studio, where yarn stashes grow and somehow we spend more time chatting than counting stitches. Knitters, crocheters, beginners, serial project abandoners and people who just really like yarn are all welcome. Bring your current obsession, grab a cuppa and come find your people. We have tea, biscuits, and someone always brings more snacks for sharing.

Croydon Cassette Culture for Absolute Beginners

Sun, Nov 1, 7:00 PM
From The Analog Cassette Beginners Social Club

If you have been curious about getting back into cassette tapes but do not know where to start, this is the perfect place to drop in. We are hosting an informal gathering for anyone interested in the analog format, whether you have an old deck collecting dust in the attic or you are just starting to hunt for tapes in local charity shops. We will be covering the basics of how these players work, how to look after your tapes, and why there is something so satisfying about the sound and feel of a physical recording. This is a relaxed, low-pressure space for absolute beginners. You do not need to bring any equipment to join us, just bring your questions and a bit of curiosity. It is a great chance to meet others in Croydon who share an interest in keeping analog culture alive, and we will have a few different setups on hand so you can see how everything comes together. If you think you might be able to make it, please let us know by clicking the RSVP button so we can make sure we have enough space for everyone.

London Cassette Culture: Back to Analog

Sun, Nov 1, 7:00 PM
From The Analog Cassette Beginners Social Club

Join us for an informal afternoon celebrating the return of the cassette tape. This is a space for anyone in London who has rediscovered their deck or is just starting to get curious about the sound and feel of analog audio. We will be meeting to chat about our favorite mixtapes, trade tips on maintaining older players, and discuss why this format still holds so much charm in a digital world. Whether you have a shoebox full of tapes from the nineties or you recently picked up your first Walkman at a charity shop, you are welcome here. We want to keep this low-key and friendly, so feel free to bring along a tape you have been listening to lately or just come ready to meet others who appreciate the tactile side of music. If you have been meaning to reconnect with your collection, we would love to see you there. Please let us know if you can make it by clicking the button below so we can keep an eye on numbers.
