We are one of few Toastmasters clubs in NYC offering in-person meetings and we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for in-person communication and networking. Understanding what depends on what, how new changes affect the codebase, and how to maintain architectural boundaries are challenges that every large engineering team eventually faces. In this talk, Victoria will share how Snapchat iOS codebase has evolved through the lens of their dependency injection frameworks. She'll cover what dependency graphs are, how they help reason about relationships across a large codebase, and how their approach to dependency injection has evolved to address the challenges that come with scale. Along the way, she'll talk about the architectural decisions behind that evolution and the lessons they have learned about managing complexity as applications grow.
