I started this walking classroom when we were under that horrible cloud called Covid. This series was popular and helped people get back into society and life. The first Lecture on the Go was **Walking North America** and that was in October of 2021. Hard to believe it's been 5 years of lectures. So I wanted to do something special to celebrate 5 years of exploration. The "Lecture on the Go" Series is open to members who have purchased the YEARLY MEMBERSHIP PASS, it's free for those members. On **Sunday, October 18th**, join me for an **Impressionist Afternoon Tea in the Norma Ridley Members’ Lounge to celebrate the connection between art, atmosphere and indulgence.** Inspired by the luminous colours and expressive brushstrokes of *[Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art](https://ago.ca/exhibitions/impressionist-revolution-monet-matisse-dallas-museum-art)* we saw last month, this seasonal Afternoon Tea offers an elegant, leisurely escape into art, conversation and thoughtfully crafted flavours that reflect the beauty and softness of this exhibit. Delicate savoury selections and whimsical pastries are designed to evoke sunlit gardens, countryside picnics and the romance of Impressionism. Citizens who did not belong to either church had no choice but to find burial arrangements outside York. The General Burying Ground received Royal Assent in 1826 and land that came to be known as Potters Field was acquired and started operation soon afterwards. Over time, additional cemetery lands were added and in 1873, a new cemetery available to all citizens was established. The new cemetery was situated on the farm land of the Cawthra family near Yonge Street. This walk is for all fitness levels. Please dress for the weather. This walk will begin and end outside the Yorkminster Park Baptist Church at 1585 Yonge Street just north of Heath Street. This tour has a ticket price of $15.00 per person!
