NYC Content Creators Meetup: August Meetup

​Join our NYC Content Creators group, where YouTubers, TikTokers, Instagrammers, livestreamers, podcasters, and other digital innovators come together to exchange ideas, forge connections, and support each other’s growth. Expect plenty of laughs, insightful conversations, and new friendships that will ignite your creativity. We keep it fun, welcoming, and laid-back and promise an inclusive atmosphere where you can share your experiences, learn from others, and discover fresh opportunities for collaboration. All types of creators and content-adjacent professionals are welcome. Come ready to brainstorm, connect, and have fun! **Event Flow** ​**3:00–4:00 PM \| Focus Hour** We kick things off with a dedicated work block. Bring your laptop, camera, ideas, or notes. This hour is all about creating. Whether that be recording content, planning future projects, collaborating with others, or locking in on work you’ve been putting off. Headphones encouraged. Momentum required. ​**4:00–7:00 PM \| Connect \+ Chill** Once the work is done, the space opens up. Singles Improv Night & Mixer (Ages 30s - 40s)

No acting or improv experience needed! Come laugh, connect, and meet new people through fun, guided improv activities in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy a 1-hour interactive improv class followed by a 1-hour social mixer with light refreshments and snacks included. This is a ticketed event — A pre-purchased ticket is required to attend. Participation in the improv class ($40) is limited to 16 guests (8 ladies / 8 men) to keep the experience engaging and comfortable. Spectator tickets ($25) are also available for those who would like to watch the class, enjoy refreshments, and join the social mixer afterward. For singles in their 30s–40s (and if you're slightly outside this range, that's okay too!) Musical Theater Workshop

Welcome back! Or if it’s your first time with us, welcome! We are the **[Brooklyn Alternative Musical Theater Collective](https://www.bkalttheater.com/)**, and we'd love for you to join us at the lovely [Secret Pour](https://www.instagram.com/secretpour/) by the Kosciuszko J train to showcase some of our works in progress. Do you have short scenes you want to be read aloud? Do you have songs you want to perform? Good news, we have talented actors and singers ready to engage with your material. Need feedback on your work? Just ask! We’ll rip it to shreds! the Carl Velas ACTING STUDIO is back in Action

After a long break the Carl Velas ACTING STUDIO is resuming weekly classes in Dramatic Acting. Each class will develop a short Dramatic scene starting with a reading of the script and ending with a 'staged' performance. Everyone will get a chance to participate as both an Actor in the scene and an observer in the audience. The assumption is that anyone who attends a meeting of this group is already capable of Acting to a certain degree and is ready and willing to jump right into the scene. The goal of each meeting is not only to determine if you have what it takes to be a Dramatic Actor, but whether or not you enjoy it enough to do it rather than go to the beach.
