Silverlake can be quite beautiful at night. Walk is mostly easy 2.2 miles RT around the lake. Walk is approx. 1 hour. There is short uphill on this walk--approx. 10 minutes Some members go to the local Oyster bar afterwards. **Rain will cancel walk. Dogs ok as long as on leash.** Parking: Street parking. There is more parking when you park along the lake --along W. Silverlake Dr.

**Hey climbing enthusiasts!** Looking for a fun and adventurous way to spend your Friday night? Join us for an exhilarating indoor rock climbing meetup! Jaden and Marvin will wait near the front desk for attendees to arrive. Please message us if you're going to be late. **What’s Happening:** * A welcoming and inclusive environment for climbers of all skill levels. * Bouldering: Show off those climbing skills or just flail around on the wall – both are equally entertaining. * Top Roping: Heights? Pffft. We laugh in the face of heights! We should have a couple of people certified on Belay including myself. * Wisdom from Wannabe Pros: Get tips from climbers who might know what they're talking about. No guarantees, though. * Social: an opportunity to make new friends who share a passion for climbing. * Dinner afterward is optional for those seeking extra social time. **Day pass is $30 if you're not a member —** but you *might* be able to get $10 off if you say you're climbing with Marvin. **Just give us a heads-up beforehand so one of us can be at the front desk when you arrive. These tufa spires rise up to 140 feet from the dry lakebed. The landscape is so out of the world, the original Planet of the Apes was filmed here.** **Dispersed camping is allowed anywhere in this area.** **Hike and explore the pinnacles.** **Or, do absolutely nothing and just chillax at camp and enjoy the lunar-like landscape.** **THIS IS PRIMITIVE CAMPING** **The area is very exposed with no shade so bring shade material, tarp, or canopy.** **Make sure you bring plenty of water with you.** **Also, please bring some firewood if you have room in your vehicle.** **..** **>>>>WHERE DO WE MEET?<<<<** **We’ll meet at the dirt road entrance located at the intersection of Trona Rd (178) and Pinnacle Rd at 11am.
