Cinema Nova is screening Stanley Kubrick's fully restored **2001: A Space Odyssey** as part of their Movie Epics season, and it's the kind of film that really does deserve a proper cinema rather than a laptop. We'll meet at the Cinema Nova ticket booth at 6:00pm on Thursday 3 September for a quick hello, then wander out for a casual bite along Lygon Street before heading in. The film starts at 7:00pm and runs 149 minutes, and Cinema Nova notes this screening is presented **without an intermission**, so grab your snacks and a bathroom stop beforehand.
