Holland Park Kyoto Garden Walk & Japan House

​Let's make the most of the beautiful autumn colours, and go for a walk in Holland Park's Kyoto Garden! 🍁 美しい紅葉の季節を最大限に楽しむために、ホランド・パーク内にある京都庭園へ散歩に行きましょう！ ​We'll meet at Pret a Manger, near Holland Park Station. As Britain began to emerge from recession, a new dawn of optimism, freedom, and rebellion was ushered in, epitomised by a new generation of diverse creative talent. Seen through Edward Enninful’s eyes, this sense of opportunity resulted in art, design, fashion and photography fusing into one potent cultural force, signalling an audacious renewal of British spirit. **Make new friends and chat about everything from daily life to big world issues in our no-judgment space. This week's topic:** Imagine building a life together with someone who has completely different beliefs and values from yours, from how much say your (or their) parents have in your decisions, to how to raise children. Love may conquer all, but real-world couples know that making an intercultural relationship work takes more than just good intentions. We'll discuss multiple aspects from initial excitement to navigating deep cultural differences. Can two people from different backgrounds successfully build a brand-new, shared "third culture" together? We'll discuss... 1. Why do people date across cultures nowadays? Why not? 2. Are there some cultural differences that could never work together in a couple? 3. Is it possible for two couples to find a compromise "third culture", or must one partner surrender to the others' world? *Skip the small talk and join a room of global minds and cosmopolitans for our weekly conversation lounge. Whether you’re new to the city or just want great conversation, World Citizens' café social is the perfect way to ease into your Saturday. **✨ What to Expect:** • A welcoming table or two at a beautiful museum café with multiple food and drink options. • We'll spend time socializing at the café and also explore the museum together. • Young professionals aged 20s to 30s, students, creatives, internationals. • Low-pressure, real conversations and occasional hosted discussions - no awkward silence. *• Afterwards: option for a relaxed open tour to explore the area or go for drinks, food or other activities together!* **🕑 Time & Place:** **\- 1:30 \- 2:00 PM:** Casual mixing and some guided conversations **\- 2:00 \- 4:00 PM:** Visit the museum together.
