Friendly Silent Reading Circle

Sat, Oct 31, 11:00 AM
From The Paris Friendly Silent Book Club
4.9

Join us for a relaxed silent-reading session in a warm and welcoming cafĂ©/bar. Bring your current read (or grab a new one!), settle in with a drink or snack, and enjoy an hour or two of calm, focused reading alongside fellow book lovers. 📖 No pressure, no agenda—just a peaceful moment to unwind, read, and maybe chat a little afterward. 😊 This group/event is an english-speaking one ( although the books don't have to be). We'll try to find a cozy and comfortable nook to settle into but we can't guarantee total silence. So if you are easily distracted by ambient noise, we recommend you bring a pair of noise canceling headphones 🎧😌 PS: The current cafĂ© that hosts us every Saturday afternoon, requires a 5€ drink minimum

Let's get together with a coffee or drink and discuss this book :) * Address to be announced via WhatsApp. * Limited spaces to ensure a nice discussion. Please only join if you can attend. * **Confirmation and Location via our Whatsapp group :)** About the book: **'All human beings, as we meet them, are commingled out of good and evil: and Edward Hyde, alone in the ranks of mankind, was pure evil'** Published as a *shilling shocker*, Robert Louis Stevenson's dark psychological fantasy gave birth to the idea of the split personality. The story of respectable Dr Jekyll's strange association with *damnable young man* Edward Hyde; the hunt through fog-bound London for a killer; and the final revelation of Hyde's true identity is a chilling exploration of humanity's basest capacity for evil. * [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15994498-dr-jekyll-and-mr-hyde](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15994498-dr-jekyll-and-mr-hyde)
