About us

Welcome to the Worcester Young(ish) Fine(ish) Dining Club.
I’ve started this group for like minded people who would like to explore and experience the wide range of culinary delights that Worcester and the surrounding area has to offer. Whether you’re looking to try out new cuisines or just meet new people whilst enjoying a delicious (hopefully) meal, this is the group for you.

Members must be aged 20 – 55, and please ensure that you are identifiable from your profile picture. Attendee numbers will usually be 6 people per event, possibly rising to 8-10 depending on the location. But please only join an event if you are definitely planning on going.
I’ll be looking at 2 events a month to start things off, possibly expanding if this group takes off.

I’m open to suggestions and ideas on where to go and what to try, whether it’s Greek food, Italian, Indian, Chinese, British, Thai, etc etc, if it’s tasty we’ll eat it !

Be there or be hungry!

Upcoming events with spots available:

Maneki Ramen - Wednesday 7th October 7:00pm - Awarded The Best Japanese Restaurant In The UK.
Only 1 spot left!

Little Marrakesh - Wednesday 21st October 7:30pm - A taste of Morocco in the heart of Worcester.

NEW - Sunday Roast at the Bear and Ragged Staff - Sunday 1st November 1pm - Possibly the best Sunday menu in all of Worcestershire.

I'm all ears, any suggestions or places you would like to visit then please add a comment in the Discussions section.

Recommended Meetup groups in Worcestershire - Malvern Hills Social Walks.
A very friendly bunch of all ages who regularly enjoy the stunning scenery, landscapes and numerous walking routes of the Malvern Hills and surrounding countryside. Plus the odd cafe or pub stop too.

Club Rules

Members must be younger than 56, any member that is obviously aged over 55 will be removed from the group. I apologise if this sounds harsh, but this group was set up to give those younger a chance to meet new people and try Worcestershire’s best eateries.
There are dining groups in the local area that are available exclusively for people aged 50 or over, but not so for those younger, hence the creation of this group.

Depending on the event, attendee and waitlist numbers, I may message you before the restaurant reservation is made to confirm your attendance, and afterwards with the reservation name and/or reference. As you can imagine, communication is key when organising such events.
Therefore if I do message you before the event to confirm your attendance I will need a reply in a timely fashion otherwise you may be removed. Time wasters, no-shows, fake profiles, scam accounts etc etc, will not be tolerated and will be removed and banned from the group.

This is not a dating club, it's a dining club and a fine(ish) one at that! If however romantic relationships do flourish mutually within members then that is obviously fine. BUT unwanted and inappropriate communication towards other members will not be tolerated both during and outside events.
I will not tolerate those who overstep social boundaries and make other members feel uncomfortable, they will probably be removed.

These rules are due to limited spaces and the need to book reservations, but most importantly for the consideration of other members and the establishments that we will be attending.

Maneki Ramen - Awarded The Best Japanese Restaurant In The UK

Maneki Ramen - Awarded The Best Japanese Restaurant In The UK

Maneki Ramen Arch 44/45 Worcester WR1 3BH, Worcester, GB

Let's take a culinary adventure to Japan at Maneki Ramen, under The Arches in the city centre.

Opening its doors in 2021, Maneki Ramen has introduced a unique Tokyo-inspired dining experience to Worcester. Established and led by chef Peter Dovaston, whose culinary journey has taken him from cooking in New York to the Far East in China and Japan, the restaurant draws on his extensive experience and passion for Japanese cuisine.
Combining traditional Japanese influences with modern techniques and bold flavours, Peter has created an award-winning Japanese restaurant that has become one of Worcester’s most distinctive and exciting places to eat.

Whether it’s Ramen, Katsu Curry, Yaki Soba or Donburi dishes, there’s something incredibly tempting about the menu at Maneki Ramen. Each main dish is infused with mouth-watering authentic Japanese flavours, followed by a selection of Asian-themed desserts to provide the perfect sweet finish to our evening.

So join me on a trip to enjoy the very best Japanese cuisine available in the UK, right here in the heart of Worcester.
Next door to The Burger Shop.
Vegan options are available.

Winner of the ARTA Japanese Restaurant of the Year award in 2023 and 2025.

Following the success of Maneki Ramen in Worcester, Peter has since opened a second restaurant in Birmingham. However, it’s the original Maneki Ramen, situated under The Arches in Worcester’s city centre, that we’ll be visiting to tantalise our taste buds.

I look forward to seeing you there.
If you have any questions then please feel free to message me.

This is not a dating group, it's a dining group darlings. If however romantic relationships do flourish mutually within members then that is obviously fine. BUT unwanted and inappropriate communication with other members will not be tolerated both during and outside events.
I take the safety and security of all my members very seriously and I will not tolerate those who overstep social boundaries and make other members feel uncomfortable, whether that's before an event, during an event, or after, you will be removed, no ifs, no buts, no second chances.
I have zero tolerance for sex pests, pick-up artists and those who are not able to abide by common sense social boundaries in regards to members of the opposite sex.
