About us
Hello Ladies,
We are a group of women who enjoy biking (both e-biking and traditional), walking, water sports like kayaking and SUPing, eating out and just being in the great Colorado outdoors. We are supportive, friendly, energetic ladies who enjoy meeting new people, socializing and having a great time on all of our activities.
We offer a variety of rides-- mostly Moderate--but ranging from 12 up to about 35 miles in distance. Speeds and distances vary to accommodate a variety of interests. See Description below. We are always looking to add new routes. Our event organizers are free to post their favorite rides so we have several options and even though we are mostly from the Southwest, rides will occur in various locations. If you are not yet an event organizer and would like to be, please let me know.
Sample of the ride levels:
E-BIKE - E-Bike Rides - Usually around 15 mph. Sometimes a little slower -sometimes a little faster.
BEGINNER - new riders, probably 8, 10 or mph, pretty flat trails, probably a shorter ride 8 - 12 miles.
MODERATE - your regular rider, from 10 - 15 mph can be faster on downhills, might be flat or have one or two hills that are not real steep or long, ride might be from 10 to 24 miles
INTERMEDIATE - all of the above but might have real steep long hills like Mt Carbon, or East Clear Creek ride to Golden, mph 10- 15 or more, length 10 - 35 miles or so.
ADVANCED - all of the above but probably more steep trails, possibly a steady fast ride, possibly more than 30 miles, possibly a fast pace throughout the ride.
If there are steep hills or mountains on the ride that should be noted on the description.
Members designated as Event Organizers may post rides and will be responsible for describing the length and level of difficulty.
Meetup charges Vicky (me) $178.99 every six months to keep this meetup going. Any contributions would be appreciated.
Please reach out if you have any questions. We are delighted to ride this journey with
you!
Thanks,
Vicky E.

5/21 THURS 10:00 am Kayak & Paddle Boarding @ Chatfield Reservoir Gravel Pond
Chatfield Gravel Ponds, Littleton, CO, USHello Fun Ladies!!!
Let's meet at 10:00am at Chatfield Reservoir Gravel Pond and be in our kayak or paddle board by 10:40 am in the water ready to go.
Drive to the very far end of The Pond parking area. A suggested place to meet and get your vessel in is at the end of the access cement ramp that is to the right of the restrooms and adjacent to the water where the rentals shove off from. We will meet in the water that is just north of the rental area (but of course not in the rental area.) Please arrive early so that you have enough time to get your vessel ready to anchor away by 10:40am.
NOTE: There are some other places that might be easier to put our paddle/kayaks in that might be good to try out. This place is in the same "picnic" area but it on the northwest corner of it (between the two trees).
After brief intros we will head out.
We will start heading south toward the south end of the lake and once everyone is gathered together at the south end we will head to the north side of the pond.
If you are running late just head south and we will connect there or along our way back heading north.
For the safety of all and to meet safety regulations, please WEAR your life jacket. Thanks!!
IF YOU ARE RENTING.
Rent for the 10:30am block.
Meet in your vessel by 10:40am in the water. The other members will be just adjacent to the north of you. I think if you go a little early they will get you set up early. Renting will include a life jacket, a paddle and your vessel and if needed, you can rent a dry bag for your phone and/or your other "stuff". The quicker you reserve the better chance you have of getting a kayak. They have an endless amounts of paddle boards and a limited amounts of single Kayaks. They have 4 single kayaks and 2 tandem kayaks. Please go to the sight by pressing the following link - 5280 Paddle Sports to reserve, check the prices, and cancellation info. If they run out of kayaks you can rent a paddle board. You can also rent a tandem Kayak for two people which would also be cheaper per person than a single. If you have never kayaked before you will do great. Now, paddle boarding takes a little/lot more skill but you could always just sit or kneel on it and I think you would be fine.I just found out that on the rentals cancelation refunded if you contact them or text them on their website before 24 hr. If your cancelation is weather related and before 24 hours they said they will work with you most likely.
It is a good idea to bring a hat, sun screen, water, snacks if you'd like, and maybe dress in layers. Clothing ideas - bathing suits, shorts, fast dry tops and/or bottoms etc. or whatever you want to wear is fine.
Unless you have a yearly pass already, you will need a day pass which costs $12.
Do send me your cell number if you know I don't have it yet (then I will send you mine) and also let me know if you are renting or if you are bringing your own vessel and what vessel - Kayak or SUP (It will ask these questions when you RSVP). Thanks!!
